Illume Blackberry Absinthe Candle (Travel Tin) - 1 oz (5 Hours Burn Time) Value $4?

I wasn't sure if I would like this scent when I saw the spoilers for this box, but I really like the blackberry scent! And I always like getting travel tin candles in this subscription!

allure-beauty-box-dec-2015-avene

Avene Body Oil – 50 ml Value $6.50

This body oil is recommended for using after the shower instead of a lotion. The formula leaves a slight sheen on my skin, and I like the scent, so I think I'll be adding this to my post-shower routine!

SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E - 3 ml Value $15.20? (Guessing on size since it isn't listed on the sample

(Subscribers will receive one of four SkinCeuticals products)

I like the formula of this product - it is a gel that absorbs quickly. I think the sample is way too small to be able to notice any differences in fine lines and skin tone to justify buying the full-size version ($152 for an ounce). I wish skincare companies sent out larger samples!

POP Beauty Kajal Pen in Inky Purple - FULL SIZE! Value $10

I get a ton of eyeliners in subscription boxes, so I was happy to see that this wasn't another black liner. It's a very deep purple shade. (Swatched below). The formula goes on smoothly and is paraben-free. No complaints!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – .25 oz Value $9

This is a classic primer I’ve used many times over the years (thanks to subscription box samples) and I’m happy to have more. It makes your skin so smooth and does a pretty good job at eliminating shine.

allure-beauty-box-dec-2015-swatch allure-beauty-box-dec-2015-chapstick

Chapstick Total Hydration in Soothing Vanilla - FULL SIZE! Value $3

This is a bonus item! I can always use more lipbalm, and I didn't know chapstick made a 100% natural line, so this actually ended up being one of my favorite products in the box!

Klorane Dry Shampoo – 50 ml (Travel Size) Value $9

I have received Klorane Dry Shampoo a lot in subscription boxes over the years, so while I’m no longer excited to see it in a box, it is a great product and will be used eventually!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $56. I think that's a great value. Personally, I think I may be suffering from subscription box addiction heavily with this box, because I have so many of these items (Smashbox primer, Klorane shampoo, eyeliner) that this box just doesn't feel that exciting. That being said, I really like the candle, oil and lip balm - they are all new to me!

Want to say thank you to Allure Beauty Box for the Valentine surprise in my mailbox yesterday. I love the Clarins lip balm so much that I’m going to purchase it. So soft and creamy and color is perfect.

I loved this box as well I like that Allure will include different brands and a range of items. I had trouble opening the eyeliner and actually removed the soft blender tip 🙁 I emailed CS explaining what happened and asked if there was any way they could send me a replacement. They responded 1-2 days later saying they were shipping me a new one for free 🙂 I got about a week and a half later and I’m very impressed by their CS. There are a lot of negative cs reviews which I’m sure are deserved, but I was happy to post something positive! Hope it means they are working on it. So many boxes are great but cs can suck which I know kills the entire subscription for some.

This is my first box since they became Allure Beauty Box and mine just got shipped. I wish SkinCeutical sample was bigger…, but now we know Beauty Fix did the same small sample, so I will pay more attention in the future and not get too excited. I am excited to try the body oil and other products. If you are dry shampoo overloaded, I think any women’s shelter or disaster relief will accept toiletry items. Hint hint for this holiday season to be generous 😛

I really like this box. The bonus Chapstick was a nice surprise. Loved that the eyeliner wasn’t the standard black. The body oil was nice to get especially with the dry air this time of year. The Smashbox primer is a favorite of mine. The candle not being a beauty product doesn’t bother me. It’s a fun addition. And I got two other products so nothing to complain about. I’m always happy to try new products or get extras of favorites. With multiple sub boxes I’m going to get duplicates so I can hardly get upset with repeats.

I agree this is one of my favorites! Unfortunately this is two months in a row I am missing a product…

I think this box is great as well and have loved each one so far. The candle smelled nice and I liked all the other products.

If you sub now will you get this box?

I don’t think so..I signed up on the 2nd day of the month. I believe you have to sign up early in the month to receive the current months box.

I cancelled my sub. I really liked This box but after noticing they charged me on the 24th of November and then again Twice on 30th. I’ve called and the Rep hung up on me. I called back and the gentleman said they needed my number to call me back after having me wait on hold for over 30 mins. He stated they need to look more into it and some one will get back to me! Really? What’s to look at? I’m still waiting for a call back.

I have also had extreme billing problems with them. One month, they didn’t send a box, the next month- 3 boxes. I didn’t WANT 3 boxes but there they were, paid for.

I cancelled them and I’m NEVER going back.
They’ve now had 3 changes in who actually curates and charges for the boxes and that’s 2 too many for me.
Also, I remember when this sub was a DREAM because of the free yearly subscription to Allure magazine. ( Not my fave but free is really fun).

I agree! Allure just doesn’t seem to get the love it deserves! I’m extremely pleased every month!

I sub to BB and Ipsy and with the exception of the face primer…I’ve never had a repeat of same or similar product. I can’t say the same of Ipsy and BB. They both have sent me products that I’ve already sampled from the other.

I love this box too. It’s maybe my favorite. I appreciate that the brands are consistently high quality, known players, and I purposely only sub to one beauty subscription so everything is always new to me.

Wow, there’s nothing new or remotely exciting this month. And what in the world does a candle have to do with a beauty sub? I’ve never understood why they make their way into Allure boxes so often. It seems like random filler, albeit this time from a good brand. Smashbox primer, a “not for resale” Skinceuticals sample (that BeautyFix got raked over the coals for sending a few months ago; I’d put the value at $0 for that reason alone), a POP eyeliner if expect in my ipsy bag (for which I pay $5 less and get more full size products of similar quality to Allure), drugstore lip balm and the ever present Klorane dry shampoo = no curation and simply is a month of whatever repeats. Goodbye again Allure. You’re just too unpredictable, and not in a good way.

I love this box, but it never gets any love. It’s always filled with great stuff, but you never hear anyone talk about it, and even Allure treats it like an afterthought. There are never any sales (even on Black Friday!) or incentive programs like BB has. I worry it’s going to go away.

I love everything!! I am almost finished with my Smashbox sample I received from BB and this couldn’t have come at a perfect time!

Allure is my favorite sub!
