Here's a look at the content in the magazine.

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon January 2016 - shirt

X-Files Shirt - Value $10?

This month's exclusive shirt features The X-Files. This design was a contest in collaboration with Threadless - which is a very cool idea that I hope they keep up, I think we'll get many more unique designs when anyone can contribute their designs! This also matches this month's Loot Pets shirt!

UPDATE: Here is the twinsies photo for this month:

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon January 2016 - facehugger plush

Facehugger Plush - Value $10-15?

This is an exclusive plush from Kidrobot. This will probably be stolen by Buckles, it really is inevitable.

The facehugger is smiling on the backside.

They included a yellow rubber band in the box and it was random and confusing, until I read the booklet more, and found out that this is what its use is:

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon January 2016 - figure and flashlight

X-Files LED Flashlight - Value $10?

This is an exclusively branded X-Files mini flashlight. While it's not really exciting, I can always use another flashlight around the house.

Space Invaders Vinyl Figure - Value $10-15?

This is an exclusive item, and I couldn't find a comparable online. I really like this one! I already have it on a shelf.

It's a bit translucent and a decent size. Very cool!

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon January 2016 - the fifth element multipass

The Fifth Element Prop Replica Multi Pass - Value $10-15?

This is another exclusive this month. It's a prop replica of The Fifth Element's Multi Pass

They also include a plastic ID sleeve if you want to use it to carry your ID.

Pin

As always, you get your monthly pin.

Here's a close up of the pin - I like the design!

Mini-Prints - Value $10?

This month also came with two mini prints.

Very cool designs on these prints. I've never had a real use for mini prints - but I do appreciate the artwork!

Verdict: While it wasn't my favorite month of Loot Crate, I did have more fun than I expecting while unboxing it. I'm not a huge fan of the theme, so I knew this one might be a let down for me, but, overall, I thought it was good! I'm a big fan of the shirt, Space Invaders vinyl, and the plush (my dog is a fan now too).

Thank you! 🙂

Beware of washing that t-shirt. Came out of the wash losing at least 1/3 of its length. 🙁 Now I cannot wear it. It would fit a fairly large hobbit now… but not a fairly large human.

This is my first month of lootcrate. I am obsessed with this shirt, but I ordered a women’s medium and it’s a little snug. I am so disappointed and wonder if a large would be a better fit (which I never would have guessed). I love this shirt so much, that had I known, I would have ordered two crates to compare the large and medium sizes. Maybe I will look on ebay, I am new to sub boxes and haven’t gotten enough of them to have things to swap for it yet. I love the reviews. I check this site a couple of times a day, thank you!

I changed my shirt size after I received one. I think they use youth sizes. I’m hoping this month fits.

Yeah from what I can tell with loot crate shirts, your better off buying a size above your normal size. I had the same problem with a previous month’s shirt.

I love everything here- I can’t wait to open mine! I was surprised because I also wasn’t very excited about the theme- but Loot Crate always comes through!

I got this for the X-files theme. I am happy with the t-shirt. Just the t-shirt alone makes the box worth it for me. Everything else is gravy. I did not have a mini flashlight for my purse, so score.
I would have liked to get some kitschy area 51 type stuff in the box but I get why they included what is included.
I appreciate the rubber band. It did make an otherwise kind of useless item into a fun photo prop. Even though I am not a fan of the franchise, I gotta love a fun photo prop.
I got the orange space invader and I like it! I might need a couple more.
My husband instantly commandeered the multi-pass for his movie memorabilia themed man-cave.

Although my son wasn’t thrilled with this month’s box, he’s not a fan of any of these series or movies, it’s still always fun to open and be surprised! The shirt is pretty cool even if he’s never seen X-Files, and the multipass amused him for some strange reason. I personally love the Facehugger and plan on wearing it everywhere! LOL

Haha! The Facehugger would also make for a great and easy Halloween costume in the future! 🙂

My husband received his Loot Crate today and we couldn’t figure out what the heck the rubber band was for! I showed him, so now he is going to try it lol.

That multi pass!!!!! That is the coolest thing ever!!!

Our dog, Remy, also took offense at the idea that the Facehugger might not be for him LOL. I think he would probably enjoy it best. I wonder what my son managed to do with the rubber band? I totally need a picture of him wearing the Facehugger.

I am seriously amused by the plush facehugger.

I love that Buckles steals the plushes, just like our cat! We got our LootCrate yesterday and found the facehugger on the other side of the apartment when we woke up this morning. She clearly has already claimed it as her own.
