PLVSH Style is a subscription styling service for plus-size women. They describe themselves as "Concierge Styling, Exclusively for Women Sizes 14+." I love this type of box! When I signed up, I had to fill out a pretty in-depth questionnaire regarding my size, style preferences, and lifestyle in order for them to select pieces that are just right for me. Selections for each subscriber will (and should) vary.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

My package came with a pretty detailed list of everything PLVSH Style sent me, with costs to keep the items and explanations of why they chose each item for me. I feel that a lot of thought went into the process of selecting each item just for me. I like that!

On the reverse side are some important reminders of their terms and the process for returning the items I don't wish to keep.

plvsh-jan-dress

Eloquii Blue Textured Stripe F&F - Cost to keep $84.90

I usually don't like Eloquii much, but this dress is very cute. It was a little big on me, though, so I have to send it back.

plvsh-jan-jeans

NYDJ Hayden Bootcut - Cost to keep $120

I was so happy to see jeans from NYDJ in my box! I have been wanting to try them out again for a while now. I love the color and cut of this pair. Oddly enough, I think I may have lost a few pounds recently, so these jeans were also too big. I need to try a smaller pair so I can see what happens when I engage the "Lift Tuck Technology"!

plvsh-jan-cardigan

Nic and Zoe Long Stitch Cardi - Cost to keep $164

This was my favorite item in the box! I had no idea how flattering a long cardigan can be! Plus it works really well with my boho aesthetic. I am really struggling with the idea of spending so much on a cardigan, though!

plvsh-jan-grey-top

Karen Kane Seam Detail Sweater - Cost to keep $88

The neckline on this top is super flattering! Otherwise it didn't seem special enough to me to keep for the price. I like a lot of color in my wardrobe.

plvsh-jan-print-top

Lucky Brand Batik Print Peasant Top - Cost to keep $59.50

I had the reverse issue with this top... I LOVE the print on this! This print nails my style exactly. Unfortunately, peasant blouses, especially the kind with an elastic neckline like this one, are just not flattering on me. Fortunately, that's something I can mention to my stylist to ensure that I don't get any more in future boxes.

Verdict: Despite the fact that I might only be keeping one item out of this package, I had a great first experience with PLVSH Style. I feel like they really paid close attention to my preferences and lifestyle when they selected these items for me. The service also has a really upscale feel to it without being ridiculously overpriced. I'm a fan!

I also feel these prices are a little ridiculous. I’m just not seeing a difference in style and quality of “high end” plus size pieces versus something I can purchase at Target, Kohls, or other department stores. I subscribed to Gwynnie Bee before I was pregnant and tried a lot of these same brands. They were nice to rent but I never felt like they were so well made or stylish I wanted to purchase. For the amount of money I feel I could get several outfits, not just a few pieces. It’s a nice idea but I wish Golden Tote would do plus size. I’d sign up for sure!

I actually have known about PLVSH for awhile now, but never signed up because of the prices. I just can’t swing that kind of bling right now.

I do subscribe to Dia & Co, which is a similar service that let’s you select your price point on items. For example, I can say I am willing to pay up to $50 for a blouse or $100 for a pair of jeans, etc. Much more affordable in the long run and I’ve been pretty pleased with them so far.

Plvsh lets you choose price points on items as well. I tried Dia & Co after seeing tons of blogger reviews but was unimpressed when I received the clothes. Maybe they are perfect for 20 year old bloggers who like fast fashion, but personally the quality and styles were not at all right for me.

Yikes! Those prices are crazy. I’m glad I get Golden Tote: 6 items for a flat $149.

When did Golden Tote start selling stuff in plus sizes?

I recently used these guys and loved them. It felt very personalized and high end. You get what you pay for, and as a professional woman in her 30’s, this service was perfect for me.

I enjoyed reading the review and seeing what they sent you. The pre-authorization charge is interesting. I can understand why they did it.

so to.keep the cardigan and jeans it would be $300? That’s insane. I love the idea but for $300 I could go to the mall and get a few outfits….

These prices are ridiculous. Try buying from Woman Within instead.

I love the style of everything you got (simple). Hope you are able to work out the sizing issues next time.
