PUR Minerals has released a mystery grab bag of full sized products, with a $100 value!
FYI – I recommend reading the reviews on the page for the Mystery Grab Bag. Looks like they are using this mystery bag as a way to clear older (still new) inventory. Just a good thing to keep in mind before buying so you aren’t surprised when it arrives!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

PUR Minerals 3-in-1 Universal Pencil, natural – value: $17
Since this mystery box seems to be a way to clear out older (but still new) products, I’m not surprised that I couldn’t find this pencil on PUR Minerals’ website. It’s probably discontinued. This says it’s an eyeliner, brow pencil, or lip pencil and it has a little spooly brush on the end for brows. It seems to work fine, but it’s in a very brown shade and doesn’t work for me, personally.
PUR Minerals Mineral Eye Defining Pencil with Smudger, Hidden Treasure – value: $17 (on sale for $7)
I’m a fan of when eyeliners have smudgers on them because it saves me from having to use a brush. This shade is a brown/black with some gold shimmer.
The 3-in-1 pencil is swatched on top here, and the eyeliner is on bottom.
PUR Minerals Perfect Fit Eyeshadow Trio in MatchMaker – value: $26 (on sale for $14)
This eyeshadow trio is fun. I don’t play with pink shadow very often. I’m not a fan of the formula – it’s tough and hard to pick up on my brush, and doesn’t apply much pigment. However, I also noticed a difference in performance between color shades. The pink was the most difficult to work with, and the brown was the easiest. This inconsistency makes me wonder about other trios in other shades – they may be fine/easy to work with!
PUR Minerals Lip Gloss Stick, Daredevil – value: $16
This lip gloss stick is nice! It feels very moisturizing and is sheer with the first swipe, but buildable.
The top swatch is one swipe of the color, and the bottom is three swipes.
PUR Minerals Eye Liner Brush – value: $16?
It looks like PUR Minerals has revamped their brushes to be a little different, so this must be an older make. The synthetic bristles are a little stiff, so this is better for applying very heavy pigmentation (the stiffer the brush the more pigment will be picked up with it and the more solidly it will be deposited on your skin [and the softer the brush, the less pigment is picked up by the bristles and it applies more lightly to your skin]) so you just have to keep that in mind.
Here, I used everything except the 3-in-1 pencil since it’s too dark for my brows.
Because it was a little hard to work with, the pink shadow came off very subtle, but it worked out! It’s still a very pretty and wearable color, I think.
FYI – I used the cream shade all over, and up to my brows to highlight. Then I put the pink in the center of my lids, and the brown in the outer corners and blended into my crease. Then, to enhance it a little more, I applied a little more pink again to the middle of my lid.
Verdict: The (original, not sale) value of everything comes out to $92. Not quite the $100 value they claim but I’m not mad because $92 is still awesome for $15. I’m happy with this because I’ve never tried PUR Minerals products before, and I feel like I have a nice range of products that I’ve now tried to introduce me to the brand.
What do you think about my PUR Minerals mystery grab bag items? If you grabbed one of these, what did you get?
