The Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter is a subscription offered by thatdailydeal.com. They send a variety of random items that far exceed the cost of the subscription, and every month one subscriber wins a SUPER box with a really expensive item in it. What will you receive in your mystery box? It's a complete surprise!

mystery-awesome-feb-inside

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter

The Cost: $24.99 per month for the standard box or $34.98 per month for the deluxe box

The Products: The products you receive are a complete mystery! There's no theme and items are pretty much gender neutral.

Ships to: US for free

Check out the Subscription Box Directory for more popular boxes!

This is a review of the standard box.

mystery-awesome-feb-info

This is the only literature that arrived in this month's box. This month's SUPER box included an inflatable hot tub! Next month, they will be sending out at least one SUPER box containing a GoPro plus loads of extras! How exciting! Subscribers can also add items on from their site for "extreme" discounts.

mystery-awesome-feb-headlamps

High Intensity Tri-Mode Headlamps by iZoom - Value $12.99

I seriously just told my husband not a week ago that I wanted a headlamp. Now we have two! These are battery operated, but the package includes batteries for both headlamps.

mystery-awesome-feb-pillow

mystery-awesome-feb-pillow-2

Ostrich Pillow Mini - Value $17.99

What's your super power? Mine is being able to nap anywhere, under any circumstances, in any position. I'm like one of those fainting sheep. Thus, I have no need for a nap pillow, but I am going to send this to work with my husband. He works long hours! He needs a work nap!

mystery-awesome-feb-candle

Energizer Flameless Candle - Value $12.99

This light has a nice, soft candle glow. It runs on batteries, so this will be nice to use outdoors during the summer evenings.

mystery-awesome-feb-doormat

Kikkerland Moustache Doormat - Value $25 (sold out)

This is the second time the Mystery Box of Awesome was able to read my mind. We needed a good doormat for the back door, and this one is perfect! It's a cute design, too.

mystery-awesome-feb-puzzle

Mandalas Color-a-Puzzle by Creative Color - Value $13.99

This is a cool idea, but I don't know if I can handle putting together a 500-piece puzzle of a black and white mandala! I guess it's time to find out how zen I can truly get...

mystery-awesome-feb-knives

Farberware 3 Piece Cutlery Set - Value $9.99

If there's one thing I've taught my sons about cooking, it's that you can never have too many good, sharp knives. I am so happy to get this set! It includes a chef's knife, a utility knife, and a parer.

mystery-awesome-feb-bag

XO (eco) Laptop Bag - Value $14.99

I already have the world's most beautiful laptop bag, but I just got my husband a new laptop for Christmas. This isn't too feminine for him to use, is it? It's a really nice, sturdy laptop bag with good padding.

Verdict: The Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter is for people who love surprises and are thrilled by a DEEEEP discount. Fortunately, I am one of those people! This seems to be a lot of clearance overstock things from their daily deals, but it's still pretty good stuff. We will use almost everything, but any of these items could be a nice gift. The most amazing thing about this subscription is the VALUE. I received $108 worth of goods (and some of them were even the sale prices) for $25 shipped. That's got to be a record!

What do you think of the Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter?

No shipping to Hawaii. 🙁 bummer, this one could have been fun. Oh well, they made me save my money at least.

Not all boxes are the same I guess. I did come across another review of February and though a few items where the same they where considerately different. Same bag, flame less candle, headlamps, everything else different.

Marilyn

Pretty sure this is the same company that does the Peaches and Petals box.

It is. I got the monthly mystery box for about 4 months and NEVER got anything close to as good as this box.

Everything about this box is tickling me silly, from the randomness, to some of the very-usable items, to just the name! Maybe it’s just me, but “Mystery Box of Awesome” has a tone of … not sure what to call it… “geeky humor,” maybe? It’s like they’re joining the sub-box game *and* poking some good-natured fun at it, all at the same time. And it’s as close to irresistible as a subscription has been for me in a very long time. I’m SO close to hitting that subscribe button. So very, very close… LOL!

Well they certainly lived up to their name of mystery! I would never have guessed that those items would be in the box. Can’t wait to read more reviews.

I too saw this box and thought amazing, I’m in! I love the idea of lots of a little random trinkets especially because most of them are very useful and the ones that I can’t use are very regiftable. Thanks for helping to find another awesome sub box!

I challenge you to a nap-off! Lol I’m actually diagnosed with narcolepsy, so I might be the only person here who could out-nap you.

Thanks for the review. I have never heard of this sub box before and looks like something I would like. I love to go to Lowe’s just to look around and see what is new. Many of the items in this box I can gift if need be.

Just an FYI. They have a few things on their site that are free with purchase. I was able to get an armchair organizer. I see they also have a flashlight and head lamp set that is free with purchase too. I found them by clicking on stuff and just checking out the site.

Thanks for the review Anna. I’m so excited by this new subscription!

This box is so random…and I love thus idea! Lots of cool quirky household goods. You got me! Subscribed!

I also have the skill(?) to fall asleep anywhere. When I used to live in NYC I would fall asleep on the train and would wake up to the sound of my textbook hitting the floor.

Hi Loba! So glad to meet a fellow hypersomnelent! I could tell you stories of my napping, they are truly the stuff of legend!

Ragan

So random. Probably not something I would go for, but I guess if you like the daily deals it’s worth taking the chance.

Patricia

That’s what I thought too. I like the puzzle, that’s it and I would just buy it by itself. Maybe I could be convinced to sign up for this if they promised to always send me a coloring random item, then yes a maybe.
