They charged me $35 to cancel my auto-renewed subscription on the same day they renewed it. They refused to refund the $35. I have disputed the charge with Amex and am awaiting their decision.

That’s great that you have to manually renew, but I wonder if they are going to refund the $35-45 that subscribers were charged when those subscribers cancelled after being automatically renewed??
Sorry for the weird wording (it’s early :/) I just think it’s crummy that the people who cancelled had to pay a penalty.

That was my first thought too when I read their email. At this point, I figured my $45 is never coming back to me. They are probably using it to fund the March box.

They charged me $45 for cancelling two or three days after the charges hit my cc, and no, they have not offered me a refund. They actually told AMEX that I agreed to the terms of being charged $45.

That’s great! I’m glad Oui Please is making these changes based on feedback.

OuiPlease had sowed so much distrust with their numerous delivery delays and overblown promises that it will take a consistent on time delivery of all boxes not to mention a stream of delightful and exciting parcels in order to win back their client base. That being said, this live shows promised. They gave an actual date for next delivery, March 15. They addressed legitimate concerns about auto-renewal which they are discontinuing. They showed that they are making an effort to be more fair and have more uniformity in the items in the boxes for the last delivery. If they are able to keep these promises, then I’ll renew but that all depends on them. Stay tuned!

I actually like these boxes. If they would keep the “hero” items the same for every box and then switch up everything else if they have to then i think people would respond better. I know I would. I’m on the fence on whether or not I should renew?!!! I was charged the $45 processing and even after that nightmare i may reconsider? They redeemed themselves with their last box to me but i don’t know… Gosh I am an addict!!!

Love the Hero item idea. They had something like it at the beginning I think (with the Voltaire scarf) but then it went to maybe some gets one item plus another or none. :/

I like your hero item idea. I would feel much better about my boxes as well. I hope that becomes part of their model. I will watch and maybe resub. But the delays, low values, constant changing terms and excuses are still too fresh in my mind.

Is it bad that I hate they said “we promise it will not happen again”? Crap happens, and while I know they’ve been way out of line with some if what has gone on, I don’t like them promising like that. You just never know what will happen.

Especially when in the next paragraph they state “Any OuiPlease delays will not effect the number of boxes we deliver to you.” So are they expecting delays or not? Maybe they are differentiating between shipping delays and supplier delays? ?

I read that also and had to laugh!! I think that is just their way of covering their butt for when it does happen 🙂
Katherine
Maybe they mean the previous shipping delays? As in, these last few months has been really off but you’ll still getthe 6 boxes if you are/were an annual subscriber.
