Nanette Nanette Lepore Classic Rose Gold Watch - Value $55

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-watch

From POPSUGAR:

Nanette Lepore is launching her new watch category this month called Nanette Nanette Lepore and partnered with POPSUGAR to create an exclusive design as a first look into the new collection. Watch for this new collection on Bloomingdales.com later this month.

This watch has a beige vegan leather strap and a white enamel dial with rose gold roman numerals, hands and face. Battery included.

I know quality can vary on vegan leather, and I'm very impressed with the material quality of the strap. I love the beige coloring too - it almost looks ballet-slipper-pink against the rose gold accents.

And the detail on the rose gold dials is beautiful:

Here is the other side of the strap:

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-band

Also (let me know if I'm the only one who feels this way), but one reason I love POPSUGAR exclusives is when I see someone wearing a POPSUGAR item in public - and I think, "Yay! A fellow subscription box addict!"

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-pixi

Pixi by Petra Book of Beauty Minimal Makeup - Value $24

Yay for palettes! This one is described as everything you need for a "barely there" look, and I think the colors are perfect for spring. Here it is opened:

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-palette

The set includes two highlighters, two cheek shades, and 4 eyeshadows. The pigment on these shades is good, but since the idea is "barely there" makeup, some of them don't show up well on my wrist:

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-swatch

The highlighters and eyeshadows are the most pigmented, the blush and bronzer are a little more subdued.

I really like this set! Since it is a barely there/natural look palette, it's something I'll use every day, and I'm really loving the highlighter shades - a little goes a long way with those!

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-necklace

Miss Ivy Pearl Five Tassel Necklace - Value $38

(I can't find this online, so I'm assuming it was made exclusively for POPSUGAR!)

Here is a closer look at the tassels:

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-detail

(Good news - this necklace was shipped with the tassels sealed in plastic to keep them in form!)

And here it is on:

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-necklace-on

This isn't a piece I would have picked out for myself, but I really like the beachy vibes of tassel colors! It should be good for layering, too.

And it's a different style from anything we've received from POPSUGAR in the past!

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-govino

Govino Go-Anywhere Carafe and Water Glass Set - Value $14.95

(This set is BPA-Free but not dishwasher safe.) Here is the set:

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-set

Each Govino piece has an ergonomic thumb-notch:

I think this is a great nightstand item or something to keep on hand for guests.

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-hello

Hello Extra Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste - Value $4.49

I've sampled Hello before thanks to subscription boxes, and I really like their products!

If you aren't familiar with Hello, their products are free from artificial sweeteners, dyes, artificial flavors, microbeads, triclosan, gluten, saccharin, and peroxide.

And I always need toothpaste, so I'm happy to get a stylish looking tube in a box!

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-cookies

Goodie Girl Cookies in Toffee Chaos - Value $5

And POPSUGAR's streak of sending ridiculously good snacks and sweets in boxes continues! These are gluten and peanut free, and according to my husband, "FANTASTIC with coffee."

No surprise - the bag is empty now.

popsugar-must-have-march-2016-lola

My Lola First Box Free Coupon - $10 Value

My Lola is a 100% cotton tampon subscription service. Each card has a unique coupon code. Here are the redemption details:

Offer valid through 4/30/16. Valid on one-box orders only. New customers only. One per customer.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $142 - not counting the value of the My Lola free box. Considering how awesome the February box was, I think this is a great follow-up box! It has a nice spring vibe, and a good mix of stylish and practical items. I think my favorite item in the box is either the watch or the palette - both are so pretty!

Did anyone else notice that this watch has two III’s and no IV? I just got confused about what time it is…

I’m on the waitlist for the swap section of this website, but I would love to swap this necklace for something! Not a fan of tassels.

Omg Liz, you scared me. I seen your watch picture and it had two 3’oclock’s I ran to get mine and phhhewww it is correct. I hope they send you a new one ?
I received my first box today, and boy it was hard not to look at this review. I was actually really happy with it. It didn’t seem to have much of a theme to me. Loved the watch. I only have one so it was nice to have a less expensive one to wear, plus I loved the colors. I loved the palette as I should definitely be able to wear the light colors and being barely there. ( my daughter would have taken both but I made sure to stake claim of them…..yes she is allowed to help herself and take whatever items she wants in all subs) The carafe the mr said it will be nice to bring someone water on the porch or patio in. The cookies….of coarse I tried them and so did the teens. We ALL liked them and they are great with coffee or tea too. The necklace.. Probably will gift it. Of course we will use the toothpaste, 5 people in this house so that was nice my daughter took it, lol.

Help! My watch is not working. Description said battery included. I assume it’s already placed inside. Will have to investigate. Any insights appreciated.

Reply ButtonReply

Kathleen

My watch works great! I’m wearing it right now. It has kept time perfectly and is very comfortable and stylish. I like it very much.

Reply ButtonReply

Kathleen

I accidentally hit submit before I finished typing!!! Hope that you figure out why yours isn’t working. Maybe it’s something simple where you won’t have to wait for a repair or replacement. Best of luck. Wish I could offer more help.

Helen

Did you remove the little plastic nub under the winding button? Very technical here, lol.
I thought mine wasn’t working until I discovered that.

Reply ButtonReply

SC

O-M-G Helen! Saw that red thing but didn’t know what it was. Jus popped it out and it WORKS. I so appreciate your help. ♥️ <3

Jenn

Oh geez, these “defective watch” comments — it’s not at all unusual to see IIII instead of IV — both are common and while IIII is technically incorrect, it’s a style choice and not a defect. What is obnoxious about the watch is that I’ve worn it twice to work and the band is already grungy-looking. Anybody know how to easily clean it? It’s just vinyl, right?

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

Dip a soft cloth into warm soapy water ( no harsh detergents hand soap or body wash usually works well ) squeeze out cloth of all excess water and wipe the strap, then dry cloth it. I tend to just use baby wipes as there is nothing harsh and they are only damp.

After last month’s box, this box is a bit of a letdown. Other than the cookies and watch, everything else is “meh” for me. Cookies were delicious and I needed a watch for work. The colors for the palette are really pretty but too bad I’m allergic to the ingredients.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I hope everyone redeems the tampon coupon! My daughter sent me a box and they are really great. I prefer a Diva Cup, but need an occasional tampon. Is that TMI?! lol

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

Not tmi, diva cup has changed my life! Lol.

Does anyone else think the watch’s “tick” is unusually loud or am I just being overly-sensitive? Is there anything I can do to muffle it? I really want to like the watch – it’s cute and I’ve gotten lots of compliments in just a couple days – but I’m not sure I can handle the ticking haha!

Reply ButtonReply

Abby

This is driving me crazy too! Glad I’m not the only one.

Reply ButtonReply

Kathleen D

I have seen a few people remark about the loud ticking noise the watch makes. I do not hear any ticking whatsoever unless I press the watch up to my ear and its faint. Not sure what’s different about mine, but no ticking noise. I like mine for casual and work when I don’t want to wear my dressy Rolex. It’s super cute to me. I also like my woodworx army green/brown watch for very casual occasions. Fun to have these for a great and appreciated alternative.

Anyone notice the nutritional Facts on the bag of cookies? Serving Size of 2 cookies @130 calories, amount of serving is 6. There are about 40 cookies in this bag.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

I did too! I looked into it and an older version the cookies were much larger and thicker. It seems now they are 4 cookies to a serving

Whoever called the necklace a Cat toy, high five! My cats would love one! I was thinking drapery tassels, but toy is better.

I am out of the loop and don’t get ‘vegan’ leather. Is it the same thing as faux, leatherette, pleather, or naugahyde type products?

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

You’re quite right. Vegan leather = not leather. lol

Reply ButtonReply

Alyson

I like this much better now that I have it. I cut four of the tassels off the necklace and love how it looks with just one delicate tassel.

Reply ButtonReply

Willa

I’m happy with this months PopSugar box. I ADORE the Govino carafe. Normally I’m not a fan of plastic, but I have 4 cats always breaking things, so the fact that this is light, easy to lift, and they can’t reach in to drink the water – Yay! I can finally have my own protected water on the nightstand without too much concern that I’ll be cleaning up glass in the morning. The watch is really lovely – I don’t wear watches, but I have several folks with birthdays coming up – it will make a nice gift for someone. I like the Pixi palette – I’m a pale redhead, and with warmer weather coming, this makes a very nice light makeup kit. I’m somewhere in the middle on the necklace. I love the colors of the tassels, but the chain is kind of clunky. The toothpaste – yay! I almost bought this just a few days ago, so I’m glad it showed up now. The cookies will be shared with friends. As always, I love the variety. Always a few things for me and a few things for gifts.

Reply ButtonReply

Karol

Hmmm not my favorite box. Watch will be swapped. Tassels? Looks like something from Vintage Nina Garcia. Love the Govino! Just broke my nightstand set, I might get a few months out of this one before i knock it over too. Tampons? HA. T-paste n cookies. Good combo. It just felt all over the place. no theme. Still PSMH is always the best value n fun.

Mine is also missing the watch! I’m still waiting on the missing cloth for last month’s cleansing balm. Come on PopSugar, get it together.

Reply ButtonReply

Andrea

I loved this box except for the necklace!

Liz did you notice your watch has two threes? I, II, III, III… perhaps the 4th I fell off??

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

I didn’t notice until I recently read the comments! I think it is a fluke though – thank goodness! Sound like all other watch faces are correct.

Now I know I have a super rare Nanette item 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Gloria

My box arrived today and the watch have also III, III, V and the II is missing the rose gold stripe in one of the I 🙁

I’ll write to customer service but not sure they can do something at
his stage of the month.

Samantha

My box came missing the watch, the thing I was most excited for. I contacted customer service and they said We are working on securing additional inventory, but as soon as we do we will send you a replacement. Has this ever happened to anyone else before? Are they usually able to get extras? Am I just out the watch if they don’t? Thanks

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Anybody need an extra code for the tampons – first box free ($10 value)? I won’t be using and would be happy to see somebody else make use of it “for free.” Email me at boson_barrister (at) yahoo.com if you’d like it.

The email I sent bounced back :/

Reply ButtonReply

Tessa

Confused. Their site said next box to be shipped is April so I purchased a one month gift for my sister since that’s her birthday month. Now I’ve received an email that she’s getting the March box, which I definitely don’t want to send her. Just when I was getting over my annoyances with Popsugar they cannot get accurate information on their website. Grrrr!

Reply ButtonReply

Adrienne Westlake

Just got an email from PopSugar that I am getting this box! I just signed up on the other day and it said that the March box was sold out but I guess not.

Reply ButtonReply

Nancy M.

For those still waiting for tracking– mine just showed up today without any type of notification. When I checked my account yesterday it said “unfulfilled.”

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

I got my box Saturday and I like it alright. For $24 it was great, I love the watch, thankfully it has a 3 and a 4, not two 3’s. The cookies are delicious, toothpaste is useful as are the tampons. I gave the govino pitcher to my bf, he’s excited about it, I hate plastic. The pixi palette I’ll probably swap; but only because the colors aren’t really for me. I really like pixi, but I know most people don’t. I’ll take them any day over Nyx products. There is no justifying the necklace, it’s hideous. I’d be happy to swap it for anything; but it will probably be my new swap albatross over the June ’15 LLB scarf I can’t get rid of.

Paula

Has anyone else not even received a shipping conformation yet???

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

No shipping confirmation here either 🙁
I usually have it by this time… but nothing yet. I first subbed back in June 2015 and at first they shipped by the 8th… then by the 10th… then the 12th… it just keeps getting later and later. And on top of it, I live in the midwest so once it does ship, it’ll take at least 7-10 days to get to me.
I know I say it every month, but if they’re going to use a slow shipping method, why can’t they send out the farthest ones first – that way people will get them at about the same time. Or maybe they could send them out based on how long you’ve been a subscriber or if you have a 3 or 6 month plan. Its not a huge deal this month, but the months where there’s a discount or coupon (w/ expiration date) code – those of us who get our boxes last really miss out! The excitement is half over for me by the time I get my box. And I know from comments that there’s people who get theirs even later than me so I can’t even imagine their frustration.

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

Nope, nothing from Popsugar yet. ?

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

Scratch that – my box was waiting for me when I got home.
First take – loving it. The watch is perfect for a wedding this summer. Toothpaste is much larger than I expected. Yay!
I already tackled the tassell necklace with jewellery pliers and removed some of those babies! Now I have a restrained boho piece. Nice!

Paula

I reached out to customer service….
Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! Shipping for the March box will be taking place between March 3rd and 20th. Once your box has shipped you will receive an email with tracking information. We hope you enjoy it! Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Kristin

I never get my box until the end of the month.

Reply ButtonReply

Paula

I have been a subscriber since 2013 and even though the shipping they use is notoriously slow and I receive my box a lot later than some people, I have usually received a shipping conformation by this time in the month. Just seemed odd.

X

Ok, guys. There’s a lot of hate for this box. I must say that when I saw the spoilers I was not happy. I don’t need another watch, plus it looked cheap. I am kind of a makeup snob and did not want a cheap target palette. I did not want weird-tasting “natural” toothpaste (I’ll take my Colgate any day, thanks). I also thought the necklace was weird, but didn’t hate it as many do. I was a little “eh” about the carafe but ok with it because I’m waiting on the Today show box (which I got for $50!!) and I can use it with the glasses. I will say I was excited about the cookies and the tampons- only because I love toffee and saving money on things I know I will need eventually. Basically, I thought I would hate it more than last August which was a miss for me. (NB: turns out over time I came to love the items in that box, to be fair.)

BOY WAS I WRONG! I got the box Saturday and I LOVE it! The watch is actually really pretty, surprisingly! The band is cheap and the numbers are a MESS, like many have said (not just the 4. The 8 is also wrong and the orientation of the numbers randomly changes at 9…?) but it’s quite nice for the fact that I paid $24 for this box! (6mo deal back in dec).

The cookies were DELISH as expected. The tampons haven’t come yet but I was very pleased at the $0 total cost to order. No tax, etc. The toothpaste is pretty weird, not gonna lie. But it’s ok, and I can get used to the flavor. And hey, it saves me a little money. I am coming around to the natural-ness too. Kinda cool.

The carafe is lighter than expected and also smaller, but I’ll use it as a pitcher for margaritas etc in the summer. I don’t trust this on the nightstand as I will surely knock it over.

The necklace is cuter in person. I’m going to wear it tomorrow over a black dress. It’s definitely weird but it’s got potential I think.

The biggest surprise for me was the palette. I had all but thrown it out/ given it away when I decided to just give it a try. I am a VIB Rouge at Sephora which means I have an intense makeup addiction and this just wasn’t for me-SO I THOUGHT. Let me tell you. I tried it today and it’s actually pretty nice!! I really ate my words. The top left highlighter is GORGEOUS and the bottom left eyeshadow duo does as well as my expensive makeup. The bronzer doesn’t really show up on me but is a nice base. The blush is fine. Overall, it’s a great “I don’t care too much today” look and actually a great one at that. I’m scared to try the crazy white highlighter on the top right, but we’ll see.

So- if you are like me and hated the spoilers, give it a chance- you might be surprised! Once you have it all in your hands you might change your mind like me!

I love the necklace and watch. I stopped wearing watches but will def wear this one in key outfits. ❤️
Disappointed that the eye palette contains talc, which is often tainted with asbestos and that the toothpaste contains sodium laurel sulfate, also carcinogenic.

Reply ButtonReply

Orlee

It’s here!

The carafe is my favorite item & I have it set up with ice on my nightstand this moment. It feels a lot more elegant than my usual plastic water bottle. The cookies are truly delicious (I like the crunch and the toffee) and I appreciate that they are gluten-free. The palette will be nice for some upcoming travels.

The necklace… I truly dig the colors but the whole tassel aspect reminds me of that scene in Gone With The Wind where Scarlett makes a dress out of the living room drapes. I’ll need to do some experimenting to make it look like I haven’t raided the upholstery shop.
