TMNT Box Subscription Box Review March 2016 - box

TMNT Box is a box dedicated to your favorite teenage turtles! It's packed with TMNT toys, collectibles, and clothing!

The format for this box has changed. Last month, you could choose between 'Classic TMNT', which focuses on the Turtles that I grew up with from the late 80's/early 90's, or, 'Combo Box', which includes items from the new-school TMNT and the classic TMNT. Now, there is only one box option.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: TMNT Box

The Cost: $9.99 ($3.25 shipping)

The Products: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle merchandise.

Ships: Worldwide

TMNT Box Subscription Box Review March 2016 - Note

A couple things have changed about TMNT Box. First, they've lowered the price to $9.99 (+$3.25 S/h). They have also decreased the number of items they send in the box. Earlier this year, they had sent out a survey which  triggered these changes to the box to make it more affordable.

TMNT Box Subscription Box Review March 2016 - all items

Leo Drinking Glass - Value $11 on Amazon

The first item is this Leo themed drinking glass. It's a cool style, with the fully wrapped glass and reflective surface.

TMNT Keychain Figure & 3D Puzzle Card - Value $7.99 on Amazon

The second item is a blind bag keychain figurine. Luckily - I got my childhood favorite, Michaelangelo!

Hre's the keychain figure. The keychain unscrews from his head so that you can have a display piece instead!

This is the 3D card puzzle piece that I received - it was though to get a good shot of this, so I apologize for it being so reflective.

TMNT Mashems - Value $6.35 on Amazon

The third, and final, item is a mystery TMNT Mashem. I've received these in past boxes - I kept my spider-man mashem around for a while as a stress ball.

I got a mini Leo mashem!

Verdict: This is the first delivery of the more affordable TMNT Box. From my calculations, the items in the box doubled the value of the cost. My only problem is that it doesn't seem like it's for me now - while item value was great for the cost, I also wasn't super excited for any of the items - but that's just me. I do wish I had subscribed a bit earlier so that I could try out a couple months of the old format since I really enjoyed my first box.

What do you think of the new format of TMNT Box?

I would have really liked to have gotten this but it just seems like filler items.
Such a shame because I love Turtles but for £11.40 I don’t think it’s worth it!

Looks like it’s more for children now then adults….

Hmm I’m glad they decreased the price of the box, but it’s still nothing I’d pay $13 for. I got my niece all the mashems from Walmart on clearance for $1, Gordman’s always has a set of 4 drinking glasses for $20 maybe. They always have My Little Pony, Wizard of Oz, Beatles, etc. I haven’t seen the keychain and puzzle card before.

Darn! I had this subscription box on my list to get my son for his 3rd birthday (coming up in just a few months!) He is obsessed with the old TMNT from our childhood and I really liked the older box format! 🙁 Perhaps we will still give it a try…
