Am I the only one that is happy with this box? I preordered so I didn’t have the head’s up of the contents like those that ordered the day it was released. This box alone has a value of $240+ and now the next two boxes are “free”. This is my first Thrills box and I did look at the contents of last year’s boxes. Is it as exciting? No.But after comparing this box vs the last three, I will use 90% of these items compared to maybe half of the items in the 2015 boxes. I was taught not to look a gift horse in the mouth. I don’t see how everyone is complaining about this box. You had the choice to order it and the full spoilers were out a good week before it was released for the single box sale. I did the presale because of my schedule and happy I did because I’ve already got my $200 in product and now the next two boxes are gravy.

It was my first “Thrills” Box, so don’t have previous ones to compare. I was really happy with it! It’s full of things that I will definitely use – at home or in my travel bag. The products are relatively basic, but all things I’d be buying anyway – with some different brands in the mix and a great value. (I also subscribe to the regular monthly Beauty Boxes and get my fix of more luxe/”exotic” products through those.)

The only things I didn’t like were the HASK hair oil and the hair elastics (short hair that doesn’t do well with oils), but I just gave those to a friend who was visiting in her guest toiletries and she loved them.

Agreed! I’ll use almost all of this box. Glad I’m not the only happy one. 😉

Received the box today, kind of disappointed seems like there was way less items than in previous boxes. I can’t say that any product really was that exciting. I am kind of sorry I preordered if this is what the next two will be like

I don’t know guys, I LOVE beauty boxes as much as the next person, but looking at the products….I gotta say I’ll pass on this one. I just don’t see myself paying $60 for a sampler of drugstore products.

Luckily, I was able to feed my need by getting in on the Amazon box before they sold out = )

Does anyone have a link to purchase this? In past years there was a link that had a countdown to 12:00noon… then you could purchase once it went live. I can’t locate it..

Liz Cadman

In this case, I think we won’t have the link until noon.

I just can’t get over how disappointing this box is. We used to get 26 FULL size nice quality products. This is the SMALLEST box I think they have ever put out and price is higher. Super disappointed. I look forward to these all year and to see what little is in this box for $60 is unbelievable. Very upsetting compared to previous boxes. QUANTITY/ QUALITY has really gone down.

Lisa

How do they pick the color of the bb cream?

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

looks like a great box to me and I would definitely use everything between all of us in my HH. I took advantage of the 3 box offer so I don’t miss out. Love Allure and all their boxes.

Wow…super disappointed. I wait all year for these boxes and they are getting smaller and smaller EACH time and price went up!??? How do I justify purchasing these anymore? The products are all disappointing this time. These boxes used to have 26 FULL size products for 44.95+ 10 shipping. These were amazing boxes at one time…now these full size products contain hair ties? And small “lifestyle” things. Nothing even remotely exciting in this box and only 20 products for higher price. This is extremely upsetting. I hope ALLURE gets more complaints. Maybe if we all speak up we could get 26 full size actual products the good stuff like they used to put in these boxes….maybe next time instead of this junk I’ve seen in the last 2 boxes they put out. If you used to get these boxes previously each year than you all know what I’m saying the QUALITY/QUANTITY has really went down on these.

I did the presale last year but not this time. It was nice to get the boxes automatically but I cannot justify paying the extra funds this year. I do intend to buy the boxes because I do enjoy the products. This box is not as appealing as previous ones, but it is still a good bargain for me.

Leigh

What is the benefit of buying all 3 boxes in advance for $199? That is $20 more than what it would be to get them each when they come out.

Reply ButtonReply

Cris Blanton

Guaranteed that you get them that way. Usually they sell out in MINUTES! But this last one didn’t. It was totally a fluke that the box didn’t have the normal appeal but I got this box and loved it. I buy all three ahead of time so I am guaranteed and I have never been disappointed. ?

Anna

When do these ship?

Reply ButtonReply

Andrea

I am excited only about the Spinbrush and the micellar wipes. Many of these products aren’t really useful for my darker skintone and curly hair, IMO… But, now I don’t have box FOMO and $60/$200 will be spent recklessly on other items =D

Reply ButtonReply

easteregg

I got the pre-sale because I’ve not been able to get ahold of one for years. I miss having a stockpile. Definitely will give unused items to my neighbors here in Houston. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Sonya

hmmmmm sooooooo torn about this one. While there isn’t anything super exciting the value seems really good for some basic stock up items…..guess i will see how I feel on Tuesday.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Yeah, not quite enough for me to justify spending $60. The items I really want in there wouldn’t add up to that. I bet it will appeal to a lot of other people, though, so I won’t steal one away 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I would only end up using 10 items or less. I’d rather use that $60 and spend it at Sephora on something(s) I love.

Reply ButtonReply

Angela L.

I’m actually okay with what is in the box, although the product count does seem to be getting lower and lower with each box. Here’s my thought about this box – the next one won’t be out until the end of August so many of these items, I can put up to take with me on vacation. That keeps me from scrambling around at the last minute trying to get things for the trip! My only complaint is that some of the past boxes have had 2 or 3 body washes in it at a time and this only has 1 🙁 it’s just always been nice to build my bodywash stock with these boxes but I’ll live!

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I also feel like this has less in it than past boxes have. If you use enough of it, it’s still a good value, though.

Reply ButtonReply

SARAH STARK

pre ordered. The box will be distributed between 6 people ( from 19 to 80) and anything left over will be sent to the local shelter. I don’t have much of a stock pile, other than bark box and walmart, I don’t have any subscription right now. The only thing I don’t need is facial cleanser and shampoo/conditioner so this works just fine for me. Note I’m not including my cosmetics.Excited.

UGG. Cant say I am happy about this box, but just hope it gets better. Maybe its the summer like box. I REALLY hoped the box would be like the last box! But I did the 3 box sub…fingers crossed!

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

Happy about this box… I never got one before so I don’t have a stockpile yet.

Reply ButtonReply

Rookala

Easy box to pass on. What a bore. Too many hair care products (again) & Scunci hair elastics & Chapstick just dont grab me.

Reply ButtonReply

AMarie

Same. Probably the most boring box of all yet. No high end items, I was NO on the first 10, then stopped even deciding because there goes the value for me. $60 I can spend easily on other sites.

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

Haha, the Scunci elastics are one of the 3 (!) things I would’ve used if I’d gotten this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

Too many hair products. I’m still working my way through the huge stash I’ve accumulated, and my friends and family have very specific tastes.Maybe next time.

Reply ButtonReply

nana

I enjoyed the last 3 Beauty Thrills boxes, but this one doesn’t have enough value for me. There are only a few products that I would use, and their value doesn’t added up to $60+tax. On the plus side, it should be easier for other people to get this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I replied to someone’s later comment, basically saying the same thing! There aren’t enough things I want that add up to at least $60 and therefore that justify buying it and then either using or giving away the rest. More boxes for those who find it a better value!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Really glad I held off on the pre-order. I’m absolutely sure I’m going to skip this box. There are only a few items out of all of that I need or would use. I loved my December box, but I’ll hold off until the August box.

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

I’m glad I held off on the pre order. Although I know the value is there as about 2 of the items alone pay for the box only a couple of items I would have used. This one seems underwhelming compared to past ones I looked up. Bummer, just learned about this from Liz posting the presale and was planning on ordering but thankful I held off. Hopefully the next one will catch my needs.

Brenda

I ordered mine and I’m so excited. This first box is probably my all-time favorite. A lot of the products we normally use anyway. There is a couple of new to me products that I can’t wait to try. So exciting!
