Front and Back of business card and subscription info card
Lots of inserts came with my first box from Handmade Habitat. I took a ton of extra photos since it’s our first time reviewing this subscription service. Left to right, we have a welcome card, a subscription account card, and this month’s product card. I was a little bit confused by the last card, and you’ll see why in a moment. Otherwise, I see the purpose for all the cards included.
Here’s my two products in the box, everything else was just foam noodles for extra protection. My box was packaged and received in great condition.
HH - Aloe+Green Tea Soy Candle (9oz) - $18.00
Going back to the product card, it says Clear Mind, Sweet Spearmint Soy Candle…those are the names of two other candles available in the Handmade Habitat shop. I’m not sure if all April subscribers received one or the other candle. In my case, I have neither and I was left scratching my head. Also, online sometimes it says these jars are 9.5oz and others say just 9oz. Either way, it smells amazing! I would have never purchased this on my own because the name sounded so plain to me. (#truth) But! I’m so in love with it’s soft fragrance I can’t describe it! It just smells like home. I’ve moved the candle from my master bath to the living room. It’s just that good. This candle is part of HH’s Mantra Candle Line, and is said to be great for Spring weather and relaxing nights.
Jasmine Green Tea (1 or 2 oz?) - $4.00
I have no idea how many ounces of tea I received. But it appears that I have enough for at least 6 cups of teas? Jasmine tea is said to be great for a number of reasons: fights bacteria, prevents cancer, anti-aging, and even anti-depressant. It smells legit and it came out pretty good with my DIY tea bag. LOL. You’ll find more pictures of both products in use at the very end of the review.
Verdict: This month, Handmade Habitat Candle Subscription had an estimated retail value of $22.00! Not bad. If you have a coupon, that brings the estimated value just over the cost. This is the first month, and I really like this subscription already! It’s a small operation (I love new/underdog brands), the product is of great quality and the surprise treat had significant sustenance. Changes I would suggest are continuity of labels and ads with the online shop, and a list of ingredients included in the box, on the candle or treat; or posted online somewhere like in the FAQs.
