I always like how the letters always feel so conversational and personal!
Each box also contains a packaging slip listing the items and their prices.
#MOMlife Raglan from JunkFood – Cost to Keep: $48
While this is a really cute top, it’s just not quite my style. I’m rarely wear any tops with words on them and if I do, I tend to be picky about it. I do think their Mama Bear tee is cute, though.
Sanctuary Peace Trooper Joggers – Cost to Keep: $119
I never thought I’d like the jogger trend, but I actually think it’s pretty cute! I loved these – they’re something different than anything else I have in my closet already. However, the price tag just wasn’t something I could splurge for this month, so these went back.
Side note: how many pairs of jeans/pants do you own? Going through all my clothes while moving really made me realize I have way more than I could ever wear!
Allison Joy Soledad V Tank – Cost to Keep: $48
This tank was my favorite top in the box! I like the print and I love that the neckline has a keyhole but it’s higher up so it’s not revealing. I also especially like that it’s a lightweight material I can stay cool in during summertime without needing a cami underneath.
Harriet Isles Grey Natural Stone Bold Tassel Necklace – Cost to Keep: $38
This necklace is okay. It’s pretty; I like the stone. However, the tassel makes it feel a little more “boho” than I like to wear and the hardware is gold, which I don’t prefer. This went back.
Cut from the Kloth Catherine Boyfriend in Luxury – Cost to Keep: $89
I love these! They’re a little short uncuffed, which works fine for me because I like the cuffed look. I also like the distressing, which I’m also picky about. Trendsend introduced me to Kut from the Kloth, and I love their jeans. However, like I said earlier, I have sooo many pants – including Catherine Boyfriends in a different color! These went back, too.
Here’s a close up of the necklace for you. It’s very pretty, just not my personal style.
Lovestitch Fringe Drape Cardy in Heather Grey – Cost to Keep: $88
This cardigan is so soft and I love how it’s nursing-friendly. I’ve seen this style top a bit lately. I’m just not a fan of fringe, so I knew I wouldn’t reach for its $88 worth.
Amuse Society Crimson Woven – Cost to Keep $58 (on sale for $49)
This top is so far off base from my style. I don’t care for crochet details and I really hate how these crochet parts are totally holes so I’d need a bandeau or cami underneath. And I don’t feel the top is flattering at all on my figure.
Allison Joy Luis Plaid Drape Top – Cost to Keep: $58
Another top that is off from my style. I have seen a couple tops like this this season, though. I really don’t care for the proportions on me. I like my long arms, and don’t mind showing them. These sleeves are wide, and an odd length, and I feel like they make my arms look short. If it were a tank, I think I would like it much better.
Verdict: This Trendsend wasn’t great for me. This sub always picks great pants and jeans options for me, and I’ve kept many in the last few months and now I have so many that I really don’t need/can’t quite justify buying more. That being said, the tops are such a hit or miss for me from this subscription lately. However, I know a lot of that is my personal taste. When I first started my subscription in the fall, I tended to have a higher percentage of things I loved. Aside from the previously made point about the jeans/pants, I think their spring/summer pieces are just less my taste than their fall/winter pieces, maybe?
I do have to mention that I feel a little like the picks from my stylist sort of poorly align with my style profile/preferences. I frequently remind them that price and budget is basically my #1 deciding factor when it comes to keeping something (and I have the little box checked in my profile that says “I love a bargain – send me sale pieces!), yet they keep sending me things that are brand-new releases to their line.
Long story short, this delivery was mostly a miss for me, with a couple pieces I loved. Like I said earlier, my favorite items Trendsend sends me are consistently pants.
