Jasmine Pearls Sample – Value $5
I love jasmine tea and there is something about the pearl form that is fun for me. This was fragrant and light and didn’t get bitter at all. It made my whole kitchen smell wonderful.
Mint Green Tea (15 pyramid sachets) – Value $12.95
This was a good blend. It was very light (and is low caffeine). This will be a good afternoon pick-me-up in the office.
Here are some more photos for you:
I decided to make the jasmine tea in my glass teapot. I used about half the pearls and got two cups. I probably could’ve used fewer of the pearls but this was good.
And in case you were wondering, the pearls unfurl while you brew the tea. This is what they look like afterwards.
This is the color of the jasmine tea when it is ready. (I just like using the clear mugs…)
And here is one of the pyramid tea bags. (Sorry for the juicer parts on the counter. I can’t put them in the dishwasher and they take forever to dry…)
Verdict: I calculated a value of $17.95 for the April 2016 Art of Tea Pyramid Box. That is basically right at the cost of the subscription if you go month-to-month. I expect the value will be a bit variable since different varieties are priced slightly differently. It’s a better value if you subscribe for a longer term. I loved both items in the box and appreciate that we got the jasmine pearls as a bonus since the mint teabags would’ve been low on their own.
