They always include a letter that details the issues included with a lot of great commentaries on each title.
Joyride #1 - Value $3.99
First up is the first issue in a limited run from BOOM! Studios. Joyride was a good read - it's a bit like a YA novel, though. Young boy and girl escape a closed-in society to explore space. Not my cup of tea, but I did really enjoy the writing and art work.
It's signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Black Panther #1 - Value $4.99
This is the first issue of the new run of Black Panther. It's an awesome read, too! Wakanda is pretty much in turmoil with Black Panther looking to set it right - I'm really excited for this run!
Poe Dameron #1 - Value $4.99
The first issue in one of the latest Marvel/Star Wars series. This focuses on Poe Dameron from The Force Awakens! If you can't get enough of Poe and BB-8 - this is for you.
Rough Riders #1 - Value $1.99
This one was really interesting. It's a bit of an alternate history story featuring Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Houdini, and Thomas Edison to name a few. I really enjoyed the first issue - I loved the story in general, it was original and fun!
Empress #1 - Value $3.99
Empress is a bit of an escape story. It felt like a mix of Game of Thrones and Saga to me - meaning, it was awesome!
Civil War 2 - Free Comic Book Day
This is a mix of a number of different runs that lead up to the Civil War 2 arc. This was from Free Comic Book Day and was tossed in for free.
Verdict: I enjoyed all the titles this month from Comicboxer! On top of that, I've discovered some new runs that I'm excited about continuing! I've said it before, but Comicboxer specifically, is best suited for discovery as you'll be receiving number 1 issues of titles - but it's a great find to discover a new title that you'll want to binge on!
