Each month comes with a hefty info booklet that's filled with pictures and info! This month's theme is Sweet Deco, which is related to DIY decorating and crafting.
Re-Ment Sailor Moon Crystal Desserts Blind Box
Sailor Moon was my gateway drug into Japanese anime and manga. This was way back in elementary school but I still do love me some Sailor Moon. The miniature desserts are really tiny and adorable!
Ice Cream Cone Pens
I really like the shape of the cones because they're long enough to hold properly in my hand. These pens come with a very fine tip.
Petite Lapin Plushie
This is an exclusive plushie! The Petite Lapin series are made for Doki Doki Crate. I thought it was a clam at first, but the info booklet, useful as ever, explained that this is a "bunny that loves French culture" and "resembles a macaron with his cute little beret." I love the pink cheeks too.
Hoppe Chan: Sweet Deco
This is an exclusive Hoppe Chan item for the Sweet Deco theme. It is very intricately made and looks quite delicious!
Hoppe Chan Stickers
I'm warming up to Hoppe Chan things now that I own so many of them. Plus I never say no to stickers!
Hello Kitty Strawberry Senbei
Senbei are crunchy rice crackers. They can be savory or sweet. I used to eat a lot of these as a child living in China so these impart a nostalgic factor as well. Mmmm, nostalgia!
Hello Kitty X Doraemon Coin Purse
This is a small coin purse that features Hello Kitty and Doraemon. I don't have a lot of loose change these days so I will be gifting this to someone else.
Sweet Bread Compact Mirror
I've never seen such an adorable compact before! The waffle-looking exterior is spongey which caught me off guard. The mirror does not lock shut when closed so it may not be a good idea to throw it willy nilly into a large purse.
Iwako Cake & Ice Cream Erasers
I'm in love with these! Each dessert eraser can be separated into smaller components. I might feel bad about using them as actual erasers!
Kawaii Animal Donut Charm
This is another well-crafted piece! I really like the 3D ears and sprinkles, and the goofy animal face is way too adorable.
Verdict: May's Doki Doki Crate was so much fun! I'm impressed and excited that they are including exclusive toys in the boxes. My favorite item has to be the Iwako dessert erasers. I think paying the equivalent of $3 per item isn't too bad, but if there's even one or two items you're not fond of, then the value would go down. That said, I think the curation and quality of items are amazing. It's also great knowing that you're getting stuff from big name brands like Re-Ment!
