The Box: Loot Crate Limited Edition Aliens Crate
The Cost: $55
The Products:
Get ready for Alien Day! We’re prepping for a bug hunt and celebrating one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time with the ALIENS 30th Anniversary Crate!
- 5 EXCLUSIVE ALIENS items:
- T-Shirt that would make Hudson proud
- Spectacular art ready to burst off your walls
- Collectibles you’ll never want to let go of
- Chilling comics wrapped in a special hardcover
- Fearsome figure that really stands out
- $90+ value for $55!
I loved the presentation of this crate. It opened up to reveal a little, and then you could open the side to take a look at all your loot.
Even better - the box fully inverts and turns into an Aliens APC! Here's the shot from the side - it came with small inserts to create the turret on the top.
Here's the front of the APC.
And once more from the top. It's the little things like this that have me loving unboxing any Loot Crate lately!
It came with a fake dossier in a little manilla folder. This is all printed on - no loose paper sheets - but it quickly named each item and gave you a quick blurb about the original movie.
Bug Stomper Shirt - Value $15?
The exclusive shirt is in homage to the design on the side of a gunship from the movie.
This is a great shirt and perfect for when you're ready to go on a Bug Hunt.
Exclusive 6.5" GITD Alien Titan - Value $15-20?
I've seen normal size Titans go for $10 - so my value may be a bit conservative for this exclusive item.
This thing is BIG. And it's COOL! Its full body glows in the dark, and it towers over all of my other Aliens Titan vinyl figures.
Here's a detail shot from the side.
Here's a look as it stands up against my Titan Alien from the March Loot Crate.
Aliens Eggs - 4-pack - Value $15-20?
I found a similar, non-GITD 6-pack for $25, so I'm basing the value off of that. I love this packaging and the mention of 'cage-free eggs' 🙂
These have flat bottoms, perfect for display.
Inside you'll find two unhatched Alien eggs, and two hatched - with face huggers crawling out!
Here's a closer look - these also glow in the dark, along with the face huggers.
And a close look at the unhatched eggs.
Aliens Metal Print - Value $5-10?
On the right, you'll see a small metal print. It's a small 6x9 print on a flimsy tin. I'm always surprised when I get a print in a high-priced box, they just don't seem high-value to me. That being said, the image on it is great!
Dark Horse ALIENS 30th Anniversary Hardcover Edition - Value $30?
This item is awesome. It's a reissue of the original Dark Horse Aliens series. It's hardcover and beautifully bound - this scream high-value for me.
This is a quick look at the artwork. It's all black and white - and beautiful!
Verdict: I thought this was a fun special edition crate, and at $55, this also brought the value! My favorite item was the Aliens eggs - they're just fun to display while still being easy to scare Liz with the mini face huggers. On top of that, the comic, shirt, and Titan toy were all top notch - the only thing that felt like it might belong in a normal Loot Crate was the metal print - but that's ok when it's the smallest value item of the box.
What do you think of the Loot Crate Aliens Crate? What was your favorite item?
