So - the first thing to notice is that they've done away with the mini magazine for Loot Pets. It's been replaced by these trading cards that display each item in your box. It's a cool idea and makes every item in the box a bit more collectible.
On the back, they have more details about the items on the front.
This is the themed 20-sided dice shield charm for your dog's collar.
The theme was Quest this month, and for Loot Pets, they enhanced it to be Quest for Bacon!
Makin' Bacon Pancakes Dog and Human shirts - Value $10 each?
This marks the first month where they've included both shirt variations - and I think it's a good idea! This will happen from now on.
Now that's stuck in your head for the rest of the day! Can't beat the remix version.
Of course, we're twins today.
Bacon Plush Toy - Value $11.44 on Amazon
This month's toy was great! This is a pretty large dog toy, but thin enough where Buckles could enjoy tossing it around. It has a squeaker, too, which Buckles was pretty happy about.
He was very, very excited to get to play with his bacon toy! Action shot!
Questrips Beefy Treats - Value $10?
This month's exclusive treats were Questrips! These are made to be like beef jerky - Buckles approves.
He's a true professional. Look at that patience.
He gobbled his Questrip up pretty quickly!
Battlepug Volume 1 - Value $8-10?
I based the value on this according to the Amazon price for the hardcover. I was surprised to see a comic inside the box - this is the first month with this many human items (I can't complain, but Buckles could).
From Amazon:
The epic tale of blood and drool begins here! Join Molly and her dogs Mingo and Colfax, as she recounts the legend of "The Warrior and the Battlepug" - a tale of a fearless barbarian, his trusty and freakishly large pug, and evil baby harp seals. This volume collects the first year ofMike Norton's Battlepug - the perfect opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the fan-favorite webcomic by Mike Norton, Allen Passalaqua, and Crank!
Here's a look at the artistic style of the comic - It looks like a fun read!
Verdict: Buckles and I had fun unboxing this month's box! I was really excited to see how this month would change with the addition of the human shirt to the mix. There were still 5 items this month, like last month, but two were dedicated to the dog owners. I think I like this change and the dog still has plenty to play around with. One thing I do know, this is one of the boxes that our dog gets overly excited for each month, so that's a win, too!
