Just got my first (and only) spice kit. Disappointing that the sample size was .3 oz. I could buy 2 whole spice jars at the grocery store for that price. If they upped the size to 1oz it would be worth the price to me.

I’d like to purchase a sub for 2 different people. This looks like something they really enjoy! They both love to cook & want to learn different ways of cooking authentic food from different cultures.
Other than the repeat spices from Oct, are you happy with your subscription?
Thanks for your opinion!

I have generally been very happy with the subscription and I gave it as a gift this past Christmas. I’d worry a little bit gifting this to someone not knowledgeable about cooking already. They’ve had a few misprints in recipes with too much salt, too much spice, etc., but I feel like they’ve improved on that recently and I think someone who loves to cook would pick up on the issues.
I had a shipping issue with them recently (missed a month) and it took a bit to resolve since they ran out before I got a replacement, but they responded to me fairly quickly and they extended my sub by an extra month which I felt was a fair resolution (they also gave an option to just refund the month).
Overall, I think it is a fun and affordable idea for folks who enjoy cooking.

Forgot to note that I have been a subscriber for about 7 or 8 months – fun and inexpensive sub – interesting spices.
I love to cook!

I love this sub! Some people have said they missed a shipment but I have not had any problems at all.

Two of these spices are repeats from October 2015’s Malaysian box which is kind of disappointing, but at least they’re using the Kaffir Lime Powder in a totally different way.
