SweatStyle is a brand new personalized shopping service that helps you discover and purchase high-end active wear.

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - PACKAGING 1

Here’s how it works: When you sign up, you fill out a very detailed survey about your sizing, style, preferences, routines, lifestyle, and favorite workouts, etc. Then a stylist picks fitness clothes and accessories for you. Once you get your box, you have 5 days to try everything on and return whatever you don’t keep. There’s a $20 “Sweat Fee” that gets put towards any items you keep (like Stitch Fix’s styling fee), and if you keep 3 or more items you get 20% off your total purchase.

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - PACKAGING 2

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - INFO 1

In each box, your stylist includes a lovely little letter like this, discussing the items she picked for you and why, and also how to wear them! I was really pleased with how personal this letter was.

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - INFO 2

And here is my pricing/info sheet. My price to keep everything would be $305.60 ($407 total, with 20% off for keeping everything makes it $325.60, and with the $20 “sweat fee” put towards the purchase if comes to $305.60), or $61.12 per item.

There’s also a space to write a reason code for your return and any comments you’d like. Additionally, in the letter, my stylist gave me her email so I can write her about any concerns, sizing questions, items I’d like to try, and feedback.

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - ITEMS 1

Vimmia Akasha Open Cardi – Cost to Keep: $119 (retail: $124)

This cardigan is amazing. It’s very thick and warm, and I like the drape front. The material is really high quality and the detailing is nice (there’s a detail shot a little later!). I can definitely see the value/price here. $119 is still a little high for me for a cardigan, but I can definitely see how this would be priced in the $80’s-$90s at least. Love it!

Yogasmoga Free & Easy Tank in Shangri-La – Cost to Keep: $20 (Retail: $56)

This tank is really comfortable and is flattering – it’s made to drape flatteringly around your stomach and still show some skin in the back. (better pics of the tank below)

Vie Active Rebekka Full Length Moto Tights – Cost to Keep: $110 (retail: $110)

These tights are fantastic! They’re thick, super supportive (hence very flattering to your shape and assets! ;]) and have very fashionable details. They’re also nice and long for me!

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - ITEMS 2

FYI I wouldn’t pair these shoes to wear these tights, I just didn’t want to go barefoot for pics! I’d probably pair them with a nice casual/fitness flat – honestly, my mind is thinking Tieks right now!

So, I couldn’t find my sports bras… they’re in a box somewhere still from moving recently, so I paired the tank with a cami. This top is really cute and the fabric is really comfortable and I can tell it would keep me cool in the summer! I’m looking forward to walking and running with a cute sports bra underneath it.

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - ITEMS 3

Here’s a closer look at the moto details of the tights! I think I’m obsessed with this.l

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - ITEMS 4

Here’s a detail shot of the cardigan… You’re look at the back and a sleeve.  Very nice construction and fashionable details.

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - ITEMS 5

Prismsport Loose Fit Tank – Cost to Keep: $48 (retails: $48)

This tank, feels very similar to the first one, though it doesn’t show as much in the back. The material for this is made to be sweat-wicking and it almost feels a little slinky so I think it’ll feel cool in the summer.

Alala Captain Ankle Tight in Palm Shadow – Cost to Keep: $110 (retails: $110)

These tights are also fantastic. I love that they’re also the perfect length for me! The print is great and I’m a fan of the mesh details across the knees in the back. The material feels very thick and high quality and supportive.

SWEATSTYLE MAY 2016 - ITEMS 6

They also have a little zipper pocket in the back!

Verdict: My first impression of SweatStyle is really great. They’re definitely high-end and high-quality. The pricing is higher than I’d normally pay for fitness wear but after experiencing the clothing in person I can really see the quality and value. I can tell these items will last me a lifetime. I enjoyed the letter from my stylist – it was really personable and she mentioned she picked a couple items she owned herself and loved, which I liked. Again, the total cost to keep everything would be $305.60, or $61.20 per item.

Honestly, I really loved the items my stylist picked, although I’m a little bummed the two tops were so similar. I’d love to see what they’d send me for a sports bra and a different style top. Maybe some more colorful things, too!

I really like that you can get the discount for buying three items and don’t need the whole box. Very cute items that actually look like they’d be practical for working out.

Yeah, I’m way more inclined to sign up for this because of that.

Great review and you look fabulous! I wish I loved working out, as much as I loved these cute workout clothes.

Kelly, me too! If you read the letter my stylist sent me, it talks a lot about how she picked these with running errands and such in mind! Working from home and running errands is definitely what I do most in my exercise clothing, haha. 🙂 Thanks for reading!

This looks awesome…right up my alley. I spend ungodly amounts on workout clothes already, so maybe I will curb my monthly spending by limiting to just this box!

As always, great review 🙂 I love that you actually try everything on to show us how things look on!
