Treats ships their boxes wrapped in kraft paper which is fun to open! Inside, the snacks are wrapped with tissue paper with a sticker holding it closed, a post card from the location the treats are from, and an information card about the snacks. They also have quite a bit of information on their website if you want to explore there!
This month, the snacks are from Sweden. They always include a postcard that tells a little about the country and the snacks they chose.
Bilar Fruktkombi by Ahlgrens - $3.99
These are really good gummy candies. They almost taste like a fruity apple soda to me. They're not too chewy, which is nice!
Raspberry Lemongrass Pastilles by Lakerol - $1.99
I really enjoyed these. In fact, I have them sitting on my desk, so that I can have a little guilt free sweet every now and again. I can't really pick out the lemongrass in the pastille, but the raspberry flavor comes through strong.
Kex Wafer by Cloetta - $2.25
This is very similar to a KitKat bar here. I liked it quite a bit, but I've always liked crunchy chocolate candy!
Raspberry Licorice Bar by Panda - $0.69
I really liked this. It was very soft and slightly chewy. The flavor was great too!
Ginger Swedish Thins by Annas - $2.08
These are really, really good if you like ginger snaps. They're a super thin ginger snap (which I prefer), and the flavor is excellent. According to Treats, these are under Royal Warrant to the King of Sweden! Fancy!
Ballerina Choko by Goteborgs - $2.69
These are also delicious! There are two crunchy cookies with a creamy cocoa filling. I I think these would be great with a cup of coffee or tea.
Marabou Mjolkchoklad by Mondelez - $3.95
This is really good milk chocolate. Nothing like the waxy milk chocolate you can get here in the States so commonly. I really enjoyed this.
Licorice Pipe by Hellas - $0.69
This is a super cute black licorice candy. Can you imagine doing a Sherlock Holmes themed party with these? How fun would that be? If you like black licorice, you'll enjoy this. I can handle black licorice every now and again, and this is pretty good licorice!
Crunchy Caramel Candy Bar (2-pack) by Daim - $2.95
This was very similar to a Skor bar to me! I loved the flavor and the texture. It is very crunchy, and has a tendency to get stuck in your teeth, so this is definitely one you want to brush your teeth after!
Guld Nougat Bar by Cloetta - $2.99
This is a milk chocolate covered nougat candy bar - I liked it but the texture was definitely different from anything I'm used to!
Verdict: I really enjoyed this box from Treats. The value is about $24.01, which is right around what I expect for my Treats box. I like the fact that the items I receive seem to be really true to what people in the country featured would find in their local market. Each month Treats is new and exciting, and they haven't featured the same country twice in the time I've reviewed boxes from them - so no repeat snacks - it's always something new!
