I came here looking for comments because it seems like Laritzy is deleting negative comments from their social media pages. The Laritzy brand products are sub par, and that’s being kind. I love eyeliner so I was stoked to try theirs, but it flaked pretty much immediately, by the end of a normal day it looked like I hadn’t applied liner at all. This is my first subscription and I feel like it gave me trust issues.

Amen to that! I feel like this box has become nothing short of a scam. I wouldn’t post the word “scam” on the internet if I didn’t mean it. I don’t have any interest in ruining someone’s business, especially one that is making cruelty free products. But this time around it just has to be said.
The products are low quality. But what’s worse is that they refused to grant refunds for people who bought multi-month subscriptions when LaRitzy was offering other brand products (and when it was actually worth the sub fee). This company has become a rip-off.

I am not happy about this at all. They increase the price, go from 4 products to 3, and just include their own brand. That’s shady. I am locked into a year so I am glad my price won’t increase but… I am locked into a year and prepaid for something very different than what I will be receiving from now on. I like make-up but their brand better be good considering the decrease in products and the value isn’t that great for the price of the box which is why I get sub boxes in the first place. Not cool, Laritzy.

I just received my August 2016 LaRitzy box (all LaRitzy products), and I am super duper disappointed! I no longer recommend this box.
When I first opened it I had a full size lipstick, lip balm, and lip pencil. If these products had been nice I would have been pretty happy (even though $29/month is still pretty steep for lippies and a lip pencil that you don’t get to choose yourself). However, the lipstick smelled like cheap Wet n’ Wild lipsticks from the 80’s. It was super hard and didn’t go on smoothly and travelled all over my face over the course of the day. The lip pencil also smudged and spread on its own. The lip balm was a lipstick base with no pigment and pretty much a throw away item.
Honestly ladies, I hate to be so harsh, but I would recommend cancelling your LaRitzy for now. Maybe it will get better as they add more products, do more research, and get more feedback. For the time being, this sub is kind of a rip off.

Just got mine, and sadly, I have to agree. Tried the lip balm and felt like it was irritating my lips, too. Smells like that and the lipstick have fragrance in them, but didn’t see it in the ingredients? I did see that they had a bunch of artificial colors in them, including yellow #5, which seems odd if these are supposed to be natural/organic. Though out of curiosity, I checked Honest Beauty, and some of their lipsticks have artificial colors, too. Though I know that a color often used for red shades, carmine, comes from beetles, so it wouldn’t be vegan. I also don’t like that they included 3 lip products in their first box–would have preferred a mix, but maybe this is all they have so far? So, yeah, pretty sure I’m going to cancel my LaRitzy sub. If they improve, I’ll resubscribe, but for now, there are other natural/organic/cruelty-free options that are better.

Wait, did I miss something? The box is going to be makeup only? No skincare or tools?
If so that kinda kills the box for me, I am NOT a big makeup person.

I’m pretty sad to hear this. Laritzy was by far my favorite vegan box as Petit Vour always sent samples that were way too little and Vegan Cuts always copied Petit Vour or other boxes I had subbed to. Laritzy was original and listed to their customers, they even included a brand I had suggested to them. To see them cut out all other brands and just do Laritzy cosmetics is such a let down for me. I enjoyed their curation each other. Ah well, I have a year subscription which is about to end so can’t complain too much, just sad!! And I agree with previous comments, their customer services rocks!

I agree 100!!!
I just signed up and will probably cancel now. I wanted to try different products. Something tells me that the variety and quality is going to go way way down.

I am so happy that la ritzy will be cruelty-free! There aren’t a lot of choices for all cruelty-free. As far as “natural” that means nothing. It is an ambiguous word, especially so in beauty boxes.

I m not liking the new pricing or cosmetic idea. When I ve subbed I ve always gotten colors of makeup I won’t use. If they could customize this based on skin tone I d consider signing up again. I so wish they would have turned this into a beauty box instead of a cosmetic box.

This is not the direction I wanted LaRitzy to go in but I understand that things change. I originally was planning on canceling the full size Ritzy and staying with my LaMini since I get both boxes. Instead my last box will be July and I’ll be sad to see it go, but I am just not in the market for a makeup only box. I will be watching to see how LaRitzy’s makeup line goes because I do hope for the best.

I’m not sure how I feel about this either. I’ve been getting the LaRitzy Mini box for about 6 months now, with mixed results. I will say their customer service is excellent–my Manna Kadar face bronzer/contour arrived broken this month, I contacted CS, and they said they were out of that product but sent me a full-size deodorant within a few days to replace it! I just don’t know how I feel about everything being their own line and it all being makeup. There are lots of natural beauty lines already out there. I might pause my sub for now (I’m on a 3-month plan that renews in August) and see what the first box in August is like to decide if I want to stay with them or not..

Hmm. Not happy about this new box not being vegan. IMO, there are plenty of makeup products that use synthetic beeswax that perform just as well if not better than their non-vegan counterparts. A lot of vegans won’t use beeswax at all even if they say it’s been humanely farmed.

What did you get?

Some mask, a brush, and a cleansing milk..all brands I never Sen before and there was kind of dust over everything. .3 items for $15 that I’ll never use , a waste of money.

Hmm, I’m not so sure how I feel about this yet. I like having an array of different products in the boxes.

This is an interesting theme the natural boxes (Vegan Cuts, Terra Bella, & La Ritzy) are starting to do (switching over to makeup subscriptions). I wonder if others like Petit Vour, Glowing Beets, and Goodbeing are next.
I will personally miss the variety of products in the La Ritzy boxes, but it’ll be nice to try out their new curations while I finish up my annual subscription, and decide whether I’d like to resubscribe next year.

Sigh, I signed upf or this two months ago and so far the boxes were pretty good…I like that I am locked into the lower price but the new value will be above $50? Thats lower than the values they were putting into boxes so it may turn out this “new” box isn’t for me after all.
