My Geek Box is a monthly geek and gamer box that ships from the UK. They have recently opened a US site as well - making it much easier to buy this box state-side.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This is a box that I consider no frills. There isn't a theme and there is no info card. So, expect a random collection of geeky goods.

Zappomatic 2000 Ray Gun Shirt – Value $15?

This is the same shirt from May's POP and a Top subscription. Be wary if you subscribe to both - there's a chance that you will get two of the same shirts. There are a lot of theories as to where this gun is from - Marvin the Martian, "Destroy All Humans", Earthworm Jim - I simply don't know!

Ghostbusters Titan Ecto-1 - Value $9.99 on Amazon

This is now the third time I have received this Titan Ecto-1 dating back to over a year ago. At that time, it was a Nerd Block exclusive, but now you can find it for sale online.

Here's a closer look at the Ecto-1.

Doomsday Statue - Value ???

I really couldn't put a value on this. I see it listed on eBay for $79+, but no one is buying it. It's not available in the US, which makes it a bit rare for us. It's a hand painted lead statue of Doomsday with Superman's cape.

mgb-3

It stands about 4 inches tall, but the paint job is underwhelming, to say the least.

Sponge Bob Squarepants Wacky Surfing Mega Blocks - Value $7.48 on Amazon

They include a 33-piece set featuring Larry the Lobster from Sponge Bob.

mgb-7

Here's a look at everything inside. You get your mini-figure, instructions, and blocks.

mgb-2

Yummy Breakfast Keychain - Value $7.50 based on set of two

The final item in the box is from Kidrobot. They have a line of breakfast keychains and plushes, and this is the donut enamel keychain.

Here's a closer look at the keychain!

Verdict: This is a decent box from My Geek Box - and my feeling on it probably only reflects my personal interests. While nothing blew me away, the value is certainly there, and there are no stickers or prints. The Doomsday mini statue is interesting - it may be very valuable since it's not available in the US, but I didn't have enough info to determine that. This could be a good box for you if you're ok with a total surprise for the chance that you could get some items that aren't available in the US.

Hmmm, I thought the gun may be from Futurama, since they have Zapp Brannigan & he’s the kind of person that would name is gun after himself.

The statue is from a DC Comics magazine in the UK by a company called Eaglemoss. Each issue comes with a different lead figuring and the magazine highlights that character. They also have a Marvel version which I have a few of.

“lead figuring”
Haha, I’m an idiot. Obviously, I meant “lead figurine”

That’s a really cool statue. I would have bought the box just for that.
