POP and a Top is a new(er) box from My Geek Box that also ships out of the UK. The box is pretty self-explanatory - each month you get  Funko POP and a shirt!

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

POP and a Top Subscription Box Review May 2016 - all tiems

This is definitely one that I'd consider "no frills" - you'll find no information card, and it's shipped in the same box as the normal My Geek Box.

POP and a Top Subscription Box Review May 2016 - raygun shirt

Zappomatic 2000 Ray Gun Shirt - Value $15?

I'm not 100% sure what this ray gun is from. It looks like Futurama or Earthworm Jim...it could really be from most animated sci-fi stories. Chime in the comments if you know what this is from!

POP and a Top Subscription Box Review May 2016 - Luke Skywalker POP

Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot) POP - Value $8.33 on Amazon

YES! Somehow, I do not already own this POP, so this is new to my collection.

POP and a Top Subscription Box Review May 2016 - Luke out of box

Here's a close-up of Luke - I love the X-Wing Rebel outfit.

Verdict: Short and sweet - that's how I'd describe the box and the review. This box is a bit more of a gamble - if you don't like one of the two items, your value is lost - but so far, I've liked what I've received. One thing to note - these boxes are a bit random, but I'm not sure to what extent. Most people got the Ray Gun shirt (which is the same shirt inside the My Geek Box for May), so I think the POPs will vary a bit more than the shirt.

My husband is a Marvin the Martian fan from the older cartoons and says the gun on the shirt is from the cartoons and Marvin always used this gun. Maybe look up the old cartoon and can see it that way. 🙂

I think the Zapomatic is from the game, “Destroy All Humans!” It was a pretty sweet gun in the day…

I am very disappointed with this company. I paid for 2 boxes before I even received one. I emailed a couple of times and they kept promising that I would get tracking in a day or so. I never did so I cancelled and received a refund for the April box. A box did finally show up a couple of days ago. I wish I didn’t have issues because I liked the box I got. It was same odd ray-gun tee shirt but I loved the Pop figure – it was a very cool version of Professor Dumbledore. Maybe I’ll give them a few months and try again. Thanks for your review because my son and I collect Pops, though not on the grand scale as you. 🙂

I got the same shirt (No idea where it’s from, googling doesn’t seem to help.) and a Marty McFly from BTTF2. An “Underground Toys” exclusive, apparently. Very cute, I was happy with the pop.
