VitaFive Beauty Pack (28 packets)
I didn’t show all 28 packets in the photo, but the idea is that you take the contents of one pack each day. The Beauty Pack sells for $39.99 per month.
Here’s a look at the back of the package. Because you can order for multiple people, this is how they show who should get each pack.
Here’s a look at the gummies. The Beauty Pack contains 2 biotin gummies, 2 vitamin C gummies, and 3 omega-3 gummies.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps fight free radical damage (including things like signs of aging), plus it’ll give you an immune boost and it helps with collagen synthesis which is good for skin firmness.
Omega-3 fatty acids help with skin condition and skin turnover (Nyx really needs that! but I won’t give her candy, of course…). They are also good at lowering your triglycerides and improving other heart health parameters and at reducing inflammation, plus they are important for neural and eye development in infants.
And the main reason I chose this pack is the biotin. It helps with keratin synthesis; keratin is the protein that makes up your hair and nails. My hair is doing all right but my nails are in terrible shape. Probably because they are covered in nail polish 99% of the time. Anyway, I am hoping that the added biotin will help improve the condition of my nails. (I didn’t want to wait and see before writing the review because nails take a loooong time to grow out. But this is a more pleasant way to take biotin as opposed to swallowing a large pill.)
Also, please note that these do contain some sugars so they are not calorie-free. The Beauty Pack has about 65 calories per pouch. So if you are counting calories (I am!) that is definitely not negligible.
Anyway, I found the taste to be sweet, pleasant, and fruity. The colors are from plant extracts. And they didn’t stick to my teeth too badly.
Verdict: I did not calculate a value for the June Vitafive box because you can only buy these gummies directly from VitaFive. It’s a little over $1 per day for this pack, but buying pills from separate companies would cost at least as much (vegan omega-3s are not cheap), so I think it’s a pretty good deal. Plus, almost no gummy vitamins out there are vegetarian so I was really happy to find some that are.
Depending on which pack you choose, you may still want to take a regular multivitamin. Unless you select the “Essential Pack” you are not getting things like B12, and I did not see added minerals in any of the packs I checked. But, this is a fun way to supplement your dietary intake of certain vitamins and may be useful in addressing or preventing some common health conditions.
