Carnivore Club sends artisanal cured meats from around the world.
Each month’s box is themed around a different producer that specializes in a particular style of cured meat. Boxes feature everything from French charcuterie and Italian salumi to Spanish chorizo and South African biltong.
All of the featured meats are cured and shelf stable for at least a month; however, Carnivore Club recommends that subscribers keep their boxes in the fridge to maintain product quality and increase shelf life.

This box features a selection of jerky from Savage Jerky!
Savage Jerky Mojo Beef Jerky- $7.99
Savage Jerky is based in Suwanee, Georgia, and they pride themselves on using ingredients that are found in the kitchen, not the lab. I’m impressed by the wide selection of flavors included in this box, and I like that Carnivore Club has included both beef and bacon jerky.
Mojo is the “tamest” flavor in the Savage Jerky lineup, and it’s made with lime, cilantro, garlic, and cumin. I like the blend of flavors, but I tend to prefer jerky that’s more spicy or sweet.
Savage Jerky Sriracha Bacon Jerky- $7.99 (Currently sold out.)
I’m actually really excited that Carnivore Club included bacon jerky in this box because I’ve never had it before! I was surprised to see that bacon jerky strips look and taste like bacon, just without the crispy crunch. (I’m not sure why this was such a surprise… with hindsight it makes perfect sense!) I like the sriracha flavor, and I’m feeling inspired to make sriracha maple bacon the next time I’m cooking a big breakfast!
Savage Jerky Ghost Pepper Buffalo Beef Jerky- $7.99
This jerky, which is made with a ghost buffalo sauce, is for the “truly daring.” Ghost peppers, also known as Bhut Jolokia, are 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce— that’s pretty hot! Unsurprisingly, this jerky certainly packs a pretty hefty spice punch, but I think it’s delicious.
Savage Jerky Sweet Sriracha BBQ Beef Jerky- $7.99 (Currently sold out.)
I love sriracha, and I’m a little disappointed that I can’t taste it more in this jerky. As the name suggests, this flavor is more sweet than spicy.
Savage Jerky Maple Buffalo Bacon Jerky- $7.99
Carnivore Club included two kinds of bacon jerky in this box, and I really like them both. This one is sweet and smoky, and I had to move the pack across the room to keep myself from finishing the bag in one sitting!
Verdict: I’m really impressed by the quality, quantity, and flavor of the jerky I received in this month’s Carnivore Club box. I’m excited that I got to try bacon jerky for the first time, and I discovered some excellent new flavor combinations. In terms of value, if I purchased the items in this box individually it would cost me $40. Considering the $50 cost of the box, that’s a little low, but I think it’s important to point out that I’ve received previous Carnivore Club boxes that are much higher in value.
What do you think of Carnivore Club? Have you tried any of the jerky featured this month?
