I always struggle with the value of this sub, especially since they recently raised their prices. And the $95 “lady boss” box seems to be an even worse value, especially compared to other boxes around that price point (Nina Garcia, Rachel Zoe, LE Popsugar, Oui Please, etc.).

Here’s my estimate in the value of the $55 “girl boss” box:

$12 – Rifle paper co weekly notepad
$15 – Rifle paper co notebook
$3? – Boss lady tumbler (based on the dollar store label)
$22 – Jet setter “hello beautiful” tray
$5? – Lace headband
$5 – Raspberry sangria candle (based on one on etsy that looks to be same size and scent)

So based on my estimates, the “girl boss” box has about $62 worth of products for $55. And it sounds like the extra tote that was also included in the $95 lady boss box wasn’t worth the extra $40.

I’m not sure this box will be able to survive if they don’t step it up a little.

I canceled this subscription. Ridiculous at this price. I really had high expectations for this when they changed the price. I was also excited about the rifle paper co being in the box but that is where my excitement stopped. My cup was cracked. I emailed them about it and they keep coming back to me. I posted a comment on IG and they told me to email them and I let them know it was not working so I sent them a direct message on IG and never heard back. I am actually so disappointed in this that I want money back for this box. The price compared to other boxes out there is just insane. For starters compare it to Pop Sugar

Is there a ‘cancel’ option on their website that I’m missing or do I need to email them? I, too received the Boss Lady Box and am livid as well. Such a scam. I am cancelling right away

Login to your account and there is a cancel button. Glad I am not the only one mad about this box

I cancelled directly from my account page– it needed to be done before 7/15 or 16, nearly 6 weeks before the Sept. mailing. I don’t know why they even bother with 2 separate boxes–certainly doesn’t seem like Lady Boss subscribers are receiving $40 more than Girl boxes–something feels off with this sub. Wonder how many cancellations they received with this month?

And my tumbler straw was broken in 2…

This box reminds me of Hello BlissBox except double the price and more items. I keep hoping for a few wow items to convince me to subscribe, the items selected seem boring to me. The color of the lace headband reminds of items in those kids and teen boxes.

That’s so true about the headband looking like it’s more for a child than a “lady boss”. I was trying to find comparable items online to estimate a total value and I found a dead ringer for the pink headband on etsy. But it was made for babies!

Priced at $1.25, by the way. Ugh…

My headband was hooker pink- I would so much rather have something a baby would wear. Also, their msrp is $12 for the headband – but the one in the box is nowhere near the same as in the picture in the book.

If any of you miss this box I can go make something basically identical from TJ Maxx for half the price…

Actually, you cannot. Your basic taste level is way too high to allow you to duplicate this mess. Yours would be loads better.

I think this would be good if it was more of a PSMH price point per box or slightly lower. I know they made a big deal of by shipping every month you are SAVING money (27/mo instead of 54/mo for the Girl Boss), but you are getting the same things, just less frequently. The value doesn’t really seem there for me even if the curation is nice. I really liked the opening box, but it seems to have gone down hill. I hope they can recover and really make it something special for professional women!

I get the lady boss box and received exactly the same items with only the addition of a tote bag – beyond livid! Also, I looked at the bottom of the tumbler and it’s from the dollar store. I canceled as soon as I received my shipping notice for this box (didn’t want them to charge me again).

Normally I am very happy with my boxes and know there will always be items I may not use, but with this box and after the last one where they sent calendars in May in Ikea frames, I feel that they are taking advantage of their subscribers and not living up to what they pitch.

I cancelled two boxes ago and am still trying to get them to stop charging me

I think everything is really pretty and that the curation is very well coordinated. I can think of several friends of mine who would love this.

I agree with Ramya. Wow. So much potential . . . lost. No educational materials or links; no professional tips. A lace headband? really? I wouldn’t wear that during my workout let alone to work. I wouldn’t encourage any of my female millennials to get this. Flowery patterns? Hello Beautiful? I’m here because of my brains, not my beauty. C’mon team, let’s rethink your plan.

Wow. Immediately cancelled. I have the lady boss subscription and can’t imagine what would be that different in that box to justify the price. Most deffinately not worth it when I can most definately get exactly what I wanted for half that price! Nothin special about this at all. I was on the fence with their last box and this just made my decision to cancel a no-brainer.

This had so much potential. What a shame.
