PLVSH Style is a subscription styling service for plus-size women. They describe themselves as "Concierge Styling, Exclusively for Women Sizes 14+." I love this type of box! When I signed up, I had to fill out a pretty in-depth questionnaire regarding my size, style preferences, and lifestyle in order for them to select pieces that are just right for me. Selections for each subscriber will (and should) vary.

plvsh-jul-info

PLVSH sent this info sheet with details on each item and a brief explanation of why each piece was chosen for me. I really like knowing that everything was hand selected for me!

On the reverse side are some important reminders of their terms and the process for returning the items I don't wish to keep.

Junarose Tropical Maxi Dress - Cost to keep $99

I love Junarose, and I really thought I looked great in this dress, but when I saw the picture I didn't like it on me as much. How does that happen? It's really a pretty dress, though.

plvsh-jul-lauren

Lauren Jersey Handkerchief-Hem Dress - Cost to keep $145

OK everybody, I give up. I keep saying over and over that I look terrible in coral, but I must be wrong. My husband loves this dress and my best friend flipped over this dress, so I think I have to keep it. (Hooray!)

plvsh-jul-kane

Karen Kane Mosaic Stripe Handkerchief Top - Cost to keep $118

This was my favorite piece in the box this month! I love the cut and the color, an I think it is really flattering on me. The problem is, can I actually spend $118 on a t-shirt? I think I have to send it back, unfortunately.

plvsh-jul-NYDJ

NYJD Patchwork Pleat Back Tank - Cost to keep $88

I love the design of this top, it's so pretty! I just don't like sleeveless tops much, and the thought of layering during this hot summer is kind of crushing.

plvsh-jul-camuto

Vince Camuto Plum Flambe Tank - Cost to keep $79

This top is really pretty. It's a little sheer, and I don't know how flattering it is, but it is just so lovely and lightweight. It's listed as a tank, but it does have a little bit of a sleeve effect to it because of the way it falls on my shoulders. I like the neckline, too. I think I need to keep this one!

Verdict: This month's package was pretty great! I really liked almost everything they sent! I just wish that blue top wasn't so expensive. I think PLVSH is a really great service for women who are too busy to shop, or even just those who prefer to try on clothes from the comfort of their own home! Their pieces tend to be a bit pricey, but they always send pieces that are current and high quality. I'm a big fan of PLVSH!

The colors on my monitor must be off. That dress doesn’t look anything like coral to me. It looks nice but not coral. I love the handkerchief top also but really $118 for a t-shirt? If I had that kind of money to spend on clothes I think I’d have them custom made.

I like the idea of this subscription. However, having tried Trunk Club, Ms Collection, Le Tote, Stitch Fix, Keaton Row, and Rent the Runway, I’m very weary of the pricing assigned to the clothing which is typically discounted or going to be discounted very soon. And I’ll be danged if I pay full price for something that will be 60% off in a week.

When I first saw you in the mosaic top, I thought it said $18 and I thought, I want that top. But then Realized it was 118. No thanks. Thank you for modeling. Really helps to get an idea of how similar styles would look on our human figures rather than on a hanger.

The coral dress is definitely my favorite on you, it is sooo your color! You look great in everything though! Thanks for sharing! ?

Anna

Awww that is so sweet, thank you Lynn! You just made my day!

HauteLook often lists Karen Kane and Vince Camuto. Karen Kane tops are usually about 50% off so you might keep an eye on them.

Anna

Ooooo thanks for the tip Beth! I feel like whenever I look at HauteLook they don’t have plus sizes very often tho. Am I wrong?

You need to buy that green dress. It looks great on you and I love the color.

Coral does look nice on you, but that priceless “accessory” (your smile) kicked it up a notch higher!

Anna, here is the same Ralph Lauren Dress for $39.99 dollars! Its on sale on Ralph Lauren’s website. Since they price match, minus the styling fee of $25 that will bring down your cost to keep to $14.99!!! ( I had tried posting this before on my phone but for some reason, it wasn’t there when I went back to check).

Dang, the sale dress doesn’t look like the same one. I got really excited for a minute! The dress Anna has on seems to be more red and have a totally different hemline? Either way, I think it looks fantastic on you, Anna! Thanks for trying the pieces on. Makes such a big difference!

You’re very welcome! ?

Lin

You look GREAT in coral. It’s your color! I can’t believe how expensive that t shirt top is but it does look great on you! No way I could spend that much for a t shirt though, especially since summer clothing is generally on sale/clearance this time of year.

Anna

Thanks Lin! I know, but it’s breaking my heart to have to send it back, lol… Still a maybe…

Geordana R

Anna, if you find a cheaper value of an item they send you online, will they price match?

Reply ButtonReply

Katie

I DO think coral just might be your color:) The dress looks great on you. My favorite top is the Karen Kane one. Maybe you could find it cheaper online?

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

Thanks Katie! I will keep my eye out!

Trish

You do look lovely in the coral dress! Great color with your dark hair. I’m not so keen on the other items- a bit pricey I think especially now with all the summer sales going on. They should discount end of season boxes!
I’m going to keep watching this sub because I do like the idea behind it-& the plus sizes. Thanks again for modeling- it makes it so much better to see pics!

You are welcome, Trish, and I am so grateful to you and all the readers who have helped make it such a painless process!
