Don’t get me wrong, I love the Eyeko brand but it is being played out something serious. I have every black eyeliner they make at the moment. lol.

We’ll Birchbox isn’t as bad as Glossybox,YET….however, they are a very close 2nd! Almost 2 years been subscribed and seen it really go down hill! Past several months haven’t even gotten any make up and can’t tell ya last time I received a full size of anything! Been the cruddy tiny hair shampoo samples and face masks. Canceled Glossybox and next will be Birchbox!

I have three birchbox accounts and 5 ipsy accounts. Next month’s birchbox looks reaaly good. I have loved every box and bag I have gotten and I have never ran of anything, so I never have to go to the store to buy anything because I get everything in my boxes and bags. I can’t remember the last I went to the store to buy something.

I hope the milk makeup sunshine oil is in next month sample choice. I really like it.

I love that product!

The Vasanti and the Amika have made the rounds for months already. If they don’t want to be in the sample business and would rather be a “discovery” service, they should really let us DISCOVER a little more.

Anyone else find their shipping to be extremely slow? My box shows shipping on the 2nd from TN. I’m in Southern Ohio. It still hasn’t even hit the post office yet! I can mail a birthday card to my Mom in Florida and it gets to her in 3 days.

My box hasn’t shipped yet.

Whatever method of shipping they use is awful; it takes 3 times as long as going via the regular post office method.

I waited 12 days for a makeup order to arrive, typically they are pretty fast getting an order to you. The makeup arrived with a used Clinique power, a used Smashbox face primer and the free gift was the eyelash curler that had a crushed box and paint chips all over the curler. I have been a subscriber for years and I was just disgusted by this. BB should know that you can not resell makeup when it is returned. If it was one item, ok mistake, but both items makes me think returned makeup goes back in Stock for resale. They gave me 50 points for the trouble. Anyway check your purchases before using. If it does not have a seal it is most likely a returned item. BB needs to at least make sure the products they are selling are new if they want to keep any business at all.

I’ve noticed that Milk samples tend to be tiny, so I can’t say I’m particularly impressed with this spoiler.

I canceled. Done with repeat products (it’s no longer a discovery box if you’re giving away Vasanti and Amika for the one millionth time) and Birchbox’s stunt of “Everyone is getting…” that’s been the last three of four months. I could’ve dealt with the sunscreen in May, but it seems now Birchbox is continuing to force products on to people. Last month with the mascara, now this month with the Milk. I have enough “stuff” for right now and don’t need to be accumulating anymore rehashed samples.

“If you leave us now…” Wow. They are publicly acknowledging that people are dumping their subscriptions.

No, this is the page that comes up when you start to cancel your subscription on their website. I got it today when I cancelled. It’s not an email that they have sent out, it just shows on their website.

Now current subscribers know what to do if they want to see really early spoilers…. pretend they’re going to cancel! 🙂

This month I think I am going to select one of the MILK products and not go for the featured box, just not as excited for this one. The two MILK I have received I have not liked

I remember getting a Milk lipstick in an earlier curated box and it was so tiny and broke immediately – not a fan of that, obviously, so BB is really on the chopping block with me. I know $10 for a beauty box is hard to find, but it just isn’t worth the disappointment of small, crappy samples.

I would say that $10 for a beauty box is no longer hard to find, which is part of what makes Birchbox feel expendable to more of us these days. Shoot, the Sisley box is $10 a month.

If that’s the curated, the other non Milk items are Klorane eye makeup remover, a Dr Jart BB, Amika dry shampoo it looks like, and Vasanti Brighten Up I believe.

What happened to us being able to choose 2 samples for the August box…?
Reply
Jay
The text only said we would receive two “personalized” hair samples in August. I think lots of people misunderstood that to mean we’d get to choose 2, but I believe what it boiled down to is that we choose one and the other is “personalized” according to our birchbox profile (so, not very personalized at all, really).

I didn’t select a sample choice because none of the samples were appropriate for my hair type and I ended up with 2 of the samples. So frustrated and dissappointed that I stuck with BB. I can deal with not getting points if they actually follow your profile preferences but getting a box full of products that I don’t use is a complete waste of my money and time.

Any ideas on what the 3 multitasking Milk products will be? I have not tried Milk but want to & I was just looking at all their products on the BB site today! I like that box too if it’s the curated box! Is that blue bottle Marcelle micellar water or something else? I won the Benefit Brows collection giveaway from BB in June & I will be getting that in the mail next week! Wonder what this giveaway will be? Guessing something from Milk.

Julie, how fun to be receiving the Benefit giveaway! Congrats. I love the Marcelle micellar, and would be happy to receive another bottle. I’ve never tried Milk products and am excited for this box!

In the August sneak peek, 2 items shown were in the curated box and one item was a sample choice, so hopefully these are items that may be choices or curated 🙂
