Green Sprouts Organic Cotton Finger Puppets – value: $14.99
These finger puppets are little animals made from organic cotton! There’s a frog, fox, and owl. My son has loved these since I unboxed them!
Alfie the Raw Rubber Duck from Hevea – value: $10.15
This rubber duck is made with completely raw rubber, and it has no holes so that water can’t get inside and grow mold. It’s interesting! I know it’s better for everyone, but I think it looks a little odd just because I wish it had eyes or some kind of coloring like another duck this company sells, called Kawan.
Here’s a better look at the finger puppets and rubber duck.
Gideon seems to like it!
Nature’s Baby Organics Shampoo & Body Wash, Lavender Chamomile – 8 oz, value: $9.95
I love this brand so I was really happy to see a full-size product from them in my box! Baby shampoo/wash is one thing I’ll never have to purchase thanks to subscription boxes, which is fine with me! I have a great stash. This smells amazing! I love lavender and chamomile. Their other scents sound heavenly too – tangerine vanilla and coconut pineapple.
Burt’s Bee Nourishing Lotion, Original – 6 oz, value: $8
I was so excited to get a full size of this lotion! When I first had my son this was my absolute favorite lotion. Lots of baby boxes feature this, so I was going off of lots of samples. I’ve since run out and have been working through other lotions I have for him but I am really happy to get this. It smells great – just like a nice, clean, neutral baby smell.
Little Master Carroll Jabberwocky – value: $9
The Jabberwocky is a really cute and fun poem written by Lewis Carroll and it’s made up of tons of nonsense words. It’s fun how the whole poem can be filled with made up words and yet come together to still tell a story. This book is an (understandably) abridged version that works as a “nonsense primer” for babies. The artwork is really great, too! (check out pics of the inside below)
Sassy Catch n’ Count Net – value: $8.49
I love this! I’ve been looking for new/older bath toys for Gideon and we had so much fun with this. He’s not quite able to understand scooping up all the fish, but he put the fish in the net and then pulled them out over and over again. The fish float on top of the water well and the net is easy to hold and has black/white contrast patterns to make it fun to look at for babies.
Here’s a peak inside the book for you. I love the Bandersnatch snatching banders! This book is really fun to read through and the colorful art caught my son’s attention well, but I personally wonder what it will be like when he’s at the age where he actually understands what nonsense is. Surely one day he’ll ask me what borogoves and bandersnatches are – it’ll be interesting to see what he makes of it when I explain what nonsense is! That being said, I can see it being a fun little learning moment leading up to practicing making up our own gibberish and nonsense. It could be a fun little mini English lesson at home!
Verdict: This is only my second box from Kub Klub but they have skyrocketed to being one of my very favorite baby/kid boxes! The quality of all the items are all fantastic and the curation is fun. I loved seeing brands I know and love as well as new and smaller brands. The value adds up to $60.58 which is right where last month’s box’s value landed, too.
I have heard many of our readers say they miss Citrus Lane, which went out of business at the end of last year, and I think many have been looking for a delightful, high-quality box to fill that void. Personally, I’m excited to say that I think this box is making some great choices and I definitely love seeing this box on my doorstep!
