It unfolds and can be turned into a Harley Quinn mallet!

Archer T-Shirt - Value $15?

This month's exclusive shirt features Sterling Archer! The shirt is loaded with inside jokes for Archer fans - I chuckled when I read 'Dangerzone President'. Archer is an easy go-to for me (like Rick & Morty) when I'm in need of something quick to watch.

Loot Crate August 2016 - 3

Loot Crate August 2016 - 4

Harley Quinn Q-Fig - Value $20-25

We also receive an exclusive Q-Fig this month! It features Harley Quinn in her classic attire, with her classic mallet! It also includes one of her, and The Joker's, pet hyenas Bud and Lou.

Loot Crate August 2016 - 5

Here's a close-up of the detail of her hyena.

Loot Crate August 2016 - 6

And Harley herself. The speech bubble can be removed, or you could write in it with your own dry erase marker.

Loot Crate August 2016 - 8

Hellboy Right Hand of Doom Coin Bank - Value $10-15?

This might be my favorite item of the month - I'm a big Hellboy fan and you have to love his giant stone hand!

Loot Crate August 2016 - 9

Loot Crate August 2016 - 10

The bank measure 5 inches tall with the coin slot on the back of his hand.

Loot Crate August 2016 - 12

Loot Crate August 2016 - 11

Here's is a more detailed look at the bank. This might be the first Hellboy item I've received in a geek box in years - which is surprising because it's such a great comic - and the movies are great, too! I'll never stop hoping for a third movie.

Loot Crate August 2016 - 15

Kill Bill Socks - Value $10?

The final item of the month is a pair of exclusive Kill Bill socks!

Loot Crate August 2016 - 21

Here's Liz doing her best Uma Thurman.

These are an awesome representation of The Bride's bright yellow suit. Who is hoping that a third movie is made? Or would you rather the movies stay as they were and not ruin the films' legacies? I realize now that this movie was released a long time ago - so if you've never seen it - you should!

Also, I realize now that this movie was released 12-13 years ago - so if you've never seen it - you should!

Verdict: I love this month's Loot Crate - it hit a lot of my fandoms. Not only that, but the value is incredible - the Q-Fig alone is worth the cost of the box. I've bought about 4-5 individual Q-Figs, and they're all at or over the cost of this box. On top of that - I love the bank, socks, and shirt! It's pretty rare for me to be a fan of every single franchise in the box, but this is one of those months - so I'm happy!

I have been an off and on again subscriber to LootCrate for years. I never needed to contact them for customer service until this box and it was unfortunately frustrating to say the least.

I happened to look over my subs and realized while once in awhile LootCrate had an item it two I loved that the original crate was not working for me so I cancelled in time for September onward. Then I had a billing issue and asked to get August box billed to different payment. This us the response they sent (took out personal identifying info):
“Hi,

Sorry for the misunderstanding! All regular subscriptions renew unless canceled which is stated when selecting the plan, at checkout, and in your confirmation email. Gift subscriptions are non-recurring and are bought through gifts.lootcrate.com. We are sorry to hear you misunderstood the recurring nature of our subscriptions. Our cancellation policy is to cancel 48 hrs before your next renewal date to avoid being charged.

As a one time courtesy, I have canceled and refunded your account. Please allow 2-5 business days for that to reflect back to your account.

Thanks for looting!”
I am actually quite familiar with subs. Have been subbing for years including LootCrate (if they had bothered to check my history or have decent reading comprehension).

I explained that wasn’t what I wanted and I got a vague response back.

I then get tracking info for August. Check account – payment went through the account I didn’t want to but – whatever.

Got August box today. Check out code. Online LootCrate says I am not eligible for August code…

Argh..
I have contacted customer service again. Hopefully this dance is less painful.

I love the box/mallet, and I would love to wear that shirt. I need to learn more about Harley Quinn; somehow, I have never seen “Kill Bill.”

And see, this was a huge miss for my son. It was his last Loot Crate box too 🙁 (he received a 3-month subscription for Christmas and then again for his birthday and it finally ran out), so it was extra disappointing. He did not even get the references for most items and had to look them up. Archer was a complete blank for both of us, I think he got that the bank was Hellboy, but it’s not something he is into. Suicide Squad/Harley Quinn is not something he was famiiar with, and he’s never seen Kill Bill. He’s 18 and familiar with a lot of fandoms, so usually Loot Crate only has 1 miss in any given month, so it was extra surprising.

It was sad to go out on such a low note because he has really enjoyed them in the past.

Have you heard anything about the Sanrio Lootcrate box? I heard they were going to launch one but haven’t seen anything yet.

Eric

I haven’t heard anything yet – we’ll definitely post when we do!

I bought the Groupon a couple months back and had been waiting for the perfect theme to spend it on. Hellboy pushed me over the edge to use it on this box. I’m super stoked!
Funny aside: I wore the shirt out on errands this weekend and had like 3 people comment that they got the same shirt. Loot Crate is bringing together geeks across the nation. Warms the innards.

OMG my boyfriend would LOVE that t-shirt!! We are HUGE Archer fans – I’ll have to keep a look out on the swap boards! (Or maybe eBay in a week)
