After a build-up of MONTHS, Mine Chest finally started shipping out their monthly packages in May! This was the third box my kids got, and they were super excited! They are HUGE Minecraft addicts, and this box delivers official and exclusive Minecraft items every month!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Mine Chest
The Cost: $29.99 + $7 shipping = $36.99 per month

This month's theme is "Survive the Night"! This info card is also a cool (albeit blurry) hologram. I just wanted to note that we did not receive a July package. Mine Crate changed their shipping from the end of the month to the beginning of the month starting in August.
This is the information card that was included, and it's written up very cleverly in postcard style. The box (pictured above) is also a collectible, and subscribers are encouraged to keep them and build in real life just like in the game!
Survive the Night Tee Tee - Value $15?
This tee is a Mine Chest exclusive, and my eight-year-old loved it! Apparently there are different modes the kids can play in, and one involves horrible blocky creatures and dangerous blocky situations that only come out at night.
DIY Crafting Recipe
So far we have received a crafting recipe in every box! This month's crafting recipe is for zombie armor! I bet that comes in handy! My sons are actually using their blocks to store gear, so they haven't been too interested in the crafts yet.
Mine Chest Exclusive Sticker - Value $1?
My eight-year-old was happy to add this sticker to his collection, and it's pretty big, too! All I see is rectangles. 🙂
Stamp Block and Ink Pad - Value $7?
This is another Mine Chest exclusive! They have been sending stamps every month so far, and I finally recognized that they are all different kinds of - that's right - cubes. The idea is that they can collect the ink pads and then make Minecraft worlds on paper, too! That's actually a pretty clever idea. Unfortunately, I forgot to use the stamp and show you a picture, and then by the time I thought of it the kids had already lost it. Next month!
Minecraft Exclusive Pin- Value $5?
It's another Mine Chest exclusive! To be honest, the boys weren't that excited about a pin. Some kids might be, I'm not sure. It's a nice pin anyway.
Plush Zombie - Value $9.87
I guess this is what a zombie looks like in Mine Craft world. I actually think in the game the zombies are much more angular than this! My eight-year-old is still 100% in favor of stuffed critters, so this was a big hit with him!
Verdict: This was another great box from Mine Chest! The kids loved everything and were excited by it all (except the pin). I think the value of everything this month adds up to about $38, which just clears the cost of the box. I would love to see Mine Chest push this value a little higher. Otherwise, we are loving our Mine Chest subscription!
