MIB-welcome letter packaging

MIB-welcome letter1

MIB-welcome letter2

Each MyIrelandBox comes with a welcome letter from the MyIrelandBox team. The letter lists each product included in the box along with a description of where it comes from, what it means and why they chose the product for this month's box. This month's theme is "The Irish Summer".

MIB-products1

Bia Beauty Lemon Myrtle Hand Cream- value approximately €4.01 ($4.50 USD)

I’ve never heard of this brand prior to receiving this box. According to the letter, Bia means “Food” in the creators native language, so all Bia Beauty products are 100% natural using simple food ingredients. This hand cream smells lemony fresh and I really like it.

Bia Beauty Lime Pie Lip Balm- €4.95 ($5.55 USD)

This lip balm smells so summery & amazing! It really does smell like a lime pie. According to the website, this natural lip balm is made with pure beeswax, cocoa butter and nourishing sweet almond oil that keeps your lips moisturized. This isn’t the best lip balm I’ve ever tried but I do like it!

MIB-bee3

The Wool Felt Shop Bumble Bee- €14.00 ($15.70 USD)

This bumble bee is so stinkin' cute! I’m not sure what I’m going to do with him yet, but I absolutely love him! He also fits the Irish Summer theme perfectly. According to the website, this bumble bee was individually felted by hand in a Dublin workshop before finishing details and features were sewn with wool yarns. This bumble bee also happens to be one of their best sellers.

James Joyce Romping through Ulysses Notebook- €5.00 ($5.61 USD)

This is a blank, pocket sized notebook inspired by James Joyce’s Ulysses. It’s the perfect size to throw in your purse and use when needed. This notebook is made by At it Again design. All of their designs are created, designed and printed in Dublin, Ireland on sustainable material. The quote on the notebook is from James Joyce’s Ulysses, which according to the letter is an original epic novel. I really like the unique design and how the notebook is made out of recycled materials!

MIB-products3

Jennifer Slattery ‘Irish Wildflower’ Irish Linen Napkin- €16.33 ($18.31 USD)

This was my favorite item out of the box this month. I love all things vintage and this linen instantly reminded me of my grandmother’s house. Linen never goes out of style and the dainty flowers are absolutely gorgeous. The designer, Jennifer Slattery, is one of Ireland’s leading textile designers. This napkin is 100% linen and embroidered with hand drawings of Irish Wildflowers. Jennifer calls this piece a ‘tea-tray cloth’ but I think it would be pretty displayed on a table. My only complaint is that I wish we would have received at least two to make a pair. Now I want to order more online!

Verdict: Once again MyIrelandBox delivers! I really enjoyed this month’s box and they followed the theme well. I felt like I was given a lot of variety and all the products tied together nicely. This is one of the more practical boxes I’ve received and I plan on keeping everything. I estimate the value of this box to be at €44.29 ($49.67 USD). As always, I recommend this box to anyone that wants an international surprise or something different than your typical sub.

That bee really is stinkin’ cute! What a fun item to get. I love the napkin and could even see it being framed into a small picture. It really is to bad you didn’t get a pair. This isn’t a subscription that fits my style, but I really enjoy your reviews. 🙂

I would glue a small magnet to the back of the felted bee and use on the fridge. We’re on a “make everything into magnets” kick at my house so that’s kind of my go-to response for sub box items we have no clue how to use ?
