Studio Calico Planner Kit is the planner-based subscription service from Studio Calico.   Each month, subscribers can expect an exclusive variety of planner products from the Studio Calico brand and others carried in their online store. At this time SC provides three other subscription boxes on their website: Scrapbook, Documenter and Stationery Kits.  You can find the links to other storefronts and even more subscriptions at the bottom of the Our Story page.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Studio Calico Planner Kit

The Cost: $24.99 + shipping

The Products: Planner decorating papers, stickers, tools and more with a joint theme

Ships To: Worldwide

Good to Know: Each month, SC previews the upcoming theme and all SC subscribers can log into their accounts to select add-ons before the public release date. Adding on items from the shop gives subscribers a chance to grab coordinating pieces outside of their subscription, eliminates the cost of shipping, and gives a unique discount for some purchases. I haven’t figured out all the fine details to the add-ons, so please check with the FAQ or Customer Service.

The insert card say the theme is “Pool Party” and even lists complementing colors for the month.

Everything was packaged in this SC pouch. I’ll definitely reuse it for a pencil pouch or sticker pouch. I also need to point out that almost all of the products linked below take you to similar/like items. Most of everything is still unavailable to the public. But I am assuming that they would be added to the shop for those looking to restock.

Silver Striped Washi Tape - $3.00

Gold Dot Washi Tape - $3.00

Palm Binder Clips (2ea) - $1.00

These are my favorite items from the kit this month. I love washi tape and the kiddos and I use it in all our planner decorating. I also thought we had a roll of silver striped washi, but we don’t!  I can see us using this up in the Christmas season. The binder clips have bright green palms that would go perfectly with all of the pineapple/ summertime themed stickers I’ve received in other planner subscriptions.

Hello Forever - 4x6 Label Stickers (2ea) - $3.00

I don’t attach many permanent items to my planners, so I’m not sure exactly when I’ll use these. I’m not sure how strong the bond holds and I wouldn’t want to put anything seriously important on it.

Hello Forever - 4x6 Phrase Stickers (2ea) - $4.00

The phrase stickers have all the days of the week and events reminders like, “Date Night, Lunch Date, TV Night”, etc.

Studio Calico - 4x6 Attacher Sticker Sheet in Multi-Colors (2ea) - $3.00

The Label stickers are a tad small for my handwriting. I don’t care for semi-glossy finish, but I would believe it helps keep the label from warping.

Hello Forever - Puffy Summer Icon Stickers (2ea) - $3.00

These are my least favorite stickers this month. I’m not a fan of puffy stickers, they make planners lumpy. I know some people love them, they are pretty cute!!

Studio Calico - 3x4 Tab Stickers - (2ea) - $2.00

These tab stickers are just too small. I wouldn’t even call them tabs, they look more like little decorative houses if you add windows and a door.

Studio Calico - Transparency Dashboard (Personal Size) - $2.00

I love this dashboard! It perfectly fits the fun loving theme for my Ban.do planner although it is made for a personal planner. I plan on using these divider tabs in my sticker binder.

Color Theory - Planner Tabs in Glass Slippers (2ea) - $3.00

I’ll use some washi tape to cover the months and rename the tabs.

SCPKJUL - 17

Verdict: The July Studio Calico Planner Kit had an estimated retail value of $27.00. The value comes in just a few dollars over the cost of the subscription before shipping. I love the colors they put together and believed the products received matched the pool party theme..
