Yummy Bazaar includes a fold-out that provides information about the items featured in the month’s box.
This box contains products from France, Japan, and the United States!
Crab Dip Blend by Blue Crab Bay Co.- $2.99
Before I jump into the review, I want to point out that I couldn’t find a single item in this box available for sale on the Yummy Bazaar site. Yummy Bazaar always includes prices on their info sheet, so I’ve used those prices for reference unless the item is available on the product's site.
This crab dip blend is a mix of parsley, garlic, paprika, onion, celery seed, and cayenne. In addition to being used in dip, it can also be added to crab cakes. Yummy Bazaar often includes spices and mixes in their sampler box, and I love that they send a variety of different food items. (So many sampler boxes seem to stick to snacks, desserts, and candies.)
Thai Coconut Curry Popcorn by PopArt- $1.79
I’ve tried this popcorn before, and I love the kooky flavor combination. It may seem a little odd, but it totally works. The flavor is a little spicy, a little sweet, completely unexpected, and utterly delicious.
Organic Marshmallow by Auzier Charbernac- $3.95
It’s hard to eat marshmallows without smiling, isn’t it? These French marshmallows come in a variety of flavors: violet, lemon, mandarin, and orange blossom. They’re delicately colored, so it’s a little difficult to tell which the flavors apart by sight, but it really doesn’t matter. They’re all wonderful.
Matcha Baumkuchen by Makihara- $3.95
Yummy Bazaar included a Baumkuchen Cake in their Japan Full Experience Box, and I’m excited to try another one in this sampler box. I’m a big fan of matcha, and I think the subtle flavor works really well in this cake. (Plus, it’s fun to eat green cake.)
French Mint Candy by Vichy- $1.95
These mints are really tasty! The mint flavor is quite potent and they’re nicely sweet.
French Caramel Candy by Lutti Magnificat
I’ve tried these caramel candies before, and they’re incredible. The texture is fun (they’re crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside), and the flavor is rich and buttery.
Verdict: I really enjoy Yummy Bazaar's Destination Food Club! I like the wide range of items included this month, and I had a great time discovering new treats from around the world! I especially loved the marshmallows, caramels, and popcorn! Using the values provided in the info booklet, the total retail value of the items in this box comes out to around $15. That’s pretty solid value!
