And this box came with a celebration card, too!

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-023

It's blank inside, and could be great for gifting this box!

Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette Copper Peach - FULL SIZE! Value $12

Sadly, this palette was damaged a little in shipping, but it's still totally usable:

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-019

(I haven't contacted Birchbox customer care yet about this issue, but in the past few occasions I've had issues with a damaged product, they've either sent me a replacement or given me Birchbox points that more than cover the item cost.)

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-020

In general, I really like Pixi products. They are an affordable brand, and their formulas are usually great, too. For this palette, the top three colors weren't the best in pigment for me, but the bottom three were gret.

Here they are swatched from top to bottom:

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-026

I had to use quite a few swipes for the top three colors. I love bottom three shimmery metallics, though, so this is still a useful palette for me!

The last two swatches on my arm are the creamy lip stain and highlighter coming up next!

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain - FULL SIZE! Value $20

Boxes will either include the shade Poppy or Sugar. (The shade pictured is Poppy.)

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-017

I tried this out before even looking at the product name and my first thought was, "Oh! This is a really nice creamy lip stain!" So, very accurate naming, Cynthia Rowley!

The biggest concern I have with lip stains is that they can be drying, so I'm a big fan of this formula. And it goes on somewhat sheer, too, so you have some control over the color.

While I like the formula, the shade is a miss for me - I can't wear warm/orange tones. I would have preferred the Sugar shade. Maybe it's time to buy that one with my Birchbox points!

The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew – FULL SIZE! Value $10

I've sampled this highlighter before, and it's fab. The formula is free of parabens, phthalates, etc. and it looks very shimmery/pigmented in the tube, but you can blend it into a subtle sheen. It's great to add a few drops into your body lotion for an overall glow, too!

R+Co Outer Space Flexible Hairspray - 75 ml Value $6.90

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-006

I'm in love with this product for many reasons. 1. The galaxy packaging! 2. The scent! Normally, I'm just happy if hair sprays don't have that standard hair spray smell, but not only does this one not have that, it smells like a lovely beachy perfume. I would buy the perfume bottle version of this! 3. It's a flexible hold, so you can still brush your hair and run your fingers through it.

This is my perfect hairspray!

Erno Lazlo Soothe & Calm Mask - Value $16

This mask was a treat to use. It's super refreshing and hydrating and it left my skin feeling great hours after I took it off. It has a rose scent, which didn't bother me too much, but I would have preferred it to be unscented.

One thing I really like about this mask is that it comes in two parts. (If you've ever put on a full sheet mask and been frustrated with eye and lip placements that don't match up perfectly with your face, you will love this, too!)

Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara - FULL SIZE! Value $15

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-015

I'm pretty happy with this mascara formula. It gave a lot of lash definition and length, but I felt it could have done better with volume. I give it a B+ overall. For me, it is somewhere between a natural look mascara and a very dramatic mascara.

Bridgewater Candle Company Mingle Tin in Sweet Grace - Value $20

This is a bigger candle than I was expecting when I first saw the spoiler pictures!

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-010

(Just a head's up - the top of the tin required some force to be removed!)

This scent is described as a blend of "sparkling tea mixed with passionfruit and classic patchouli." I think it's both fresh and sweet - I like it!

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-011

And, the best part:

Each candle purchase donates a portion to Rice Bowls to fight the global orphan crisis through its Light a Candle, Feed a Child program.

On the inside of the lid, it shows that through purchasing the candle, 3 meals were provided to orphans.

OUAI Haircare Wave Spray – 1.7 oz Value $8.90

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-008

I've sampled this wave spray before, and I was impressed with the volume it added to my hair. The only thing I will caution is that it is heavily scented. I would say this product is the equivalent of wearing perfume.

One more thing to mention - if you like the look of sea salt sprays but don't want to put salt in your hair, this wave spray is salt-free!

birchbox-cheers-to-you-limited-edition-2016-013

REN Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist - 9 ml Value $5.70

This mist is supposed to provide a layer of protection for your skin against everyday pollutants.

I really like the scent and found the formula to be very refreshing. (And I like that you can apply this throughout the day over makeup.) The mist isn't super fine, so make sure to hold it a good distance from your face before spraying!

Umbra Birchbox Exclusive Ceramic Tray - Value $12?

This little tray is adorable. The black polka dots, watercolor pink, and gold trim look so lovely together! Plus, I love when Birchbox includes home items in their Limited Edition boxes. vanity trays like this definitely help make this box feel special!

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $127. I think that's great for a $50 box, and obviously even better with a discount coupon! I paid $42.50 for this box with the COMEBACKMAN coupon, and I'm very happy with the value. Besides the lip stain color, everything in this box works for me, and I made a few new product discoveries, too!

My eye shadow arrived broken as well and the candle was missing. Looks like they are sending a full replacement box though, so hopefully that one arrives intact!

Haven’t received mine yet! Emailed Birchbox and they replied that it had already been delivered?? This is the second time this has happened, and their response is always that it has already been delivered?? Getting very upset, and at this point wanting to cancel Birchbox!!!!

Bummed that my box is taking forever to arrive… hope it’s in good shape when I get it. They are usually great about replacing broken products. I’m most excited about the candle and tray!

Thanks for the info about the hair spray. I will try that on my 10-year-olds short layers. She doesn’t the smell of the spray wax we bought at the salon, and we don’t want a firm hold.

It sounds like this spray could be perfect for her then. Hope she likes it! 🙂

I think I have had a shift in attitude about Birchbox because I always used to be really tempted by these LE boxes and this one, not so much.

Those candles are great, though. I got one from the same brand in Causebox and it really throws the scent pretty far. I could smell it all over the first floor of my house and even part of the upstairs.

I have like 4 minis of those Cynthia Rowley stains, including the two colors that were offered. I think they’re all right. I use them occasionally.

Pretty much every eye shadow I’ve ever gotten from Birchbox, with the exception of the Make palette from the Vanity Affair box, has been crushed to bits. It’s weird, I order palettes all the time, even from Amazon where they are no so careful and will put 20 pound dumbbells in the same box as potato chips, and the only eyeshadows that have ever been broken are the Birchbox ones.

I got the poppy lipstain too and wish I would have gotten sugar instead. I wish we could have picked our color.
And I was most surprised with the size of the candle! It’s huge! I was completely expecting a really small candle.
Overall I’m happy with my box, my pallette was not broke (somehow mine never are… knock on wood) and shipping was surprisingly really fast!

Glad you are happy with the box. (But sorry you got the Poppy shade, too!) I think it would definitely add to the value of the box if Birchbox let customers select the shade variations.

My palette was broken as well; other than that, I think the value is great, and I’m happy I ordered right away.
