Every month has a different theme, and this month's theme was Speed! Typically, each month's box unfolds and transforms into something cool - this month was no different!

This month turns into a Speedster with Loot Year tires - very cool design, I'd love to see what some of the other box design ideas for each month were as well - that'd be a fun brainstorming session to be in!

lootcrate-september-2016-005

Each month comes with a mini magazine as well.

Here's a look inside. You'll find information about each featured franchise along with information about individual items.

Finally, every month includes a themed pin as well - this month's pin goes along nicely with the inverted box! This month's pin will also get you a free digital copy of Velocity #1 from Comixlogy.

Ok - on to the loot!

Stark Motor Racing Shirt - Value $15?

This month's shirt is a call back to Iron Man 2 - and it's a fun one. I was worried about featuring Iron Man 2 again, but this makes a lot of sense with the theme. This is one of my favorite Loot Crate shirts this year - and Iron Man 2 was one of my least favorite Marvel movies.

Qm Batwing Keychain - Value $10-15?

The next item is from Qm and Batman.

lootcrate-september-2016-028

This little metal Batwing is going to be a perfect addition to my keychain.

lootcrate-september-2016-029

Here's a look at the detail on the Batwing itself. Qm typically produces figures, so I'm not sure if this is a first for them, but it may be something they should do more!

Eleanor Collectible Car - Value $10?

lootcrate-september-2016-024

This was a surprise franchise for me. The movie is rather old at this point, so I was surprised to see it as a featured franchise - that being said, I did really enjoy Gone in 60 Seconds when it came out, so I was cautiously optimistic.

lootcrate-september-2016-023

Eleanor was Nicolas Cage's White Whale in the movie. The '67 Mustang is absolutely beautiful in the movie - so it's fun to get a little replica. This was a fun item for me, but I'm guessing it's going to be a miss more than a hit based on the age of the movie.

Collectible Hood Ornament - Value $15-20?

Now this is a fun and unique item. This is definitely the first hood ornament I've received in a box. You could have received Arrow of The Flash.

lootcrate-september-2016-016

Here, you can see The Flash, ready to lead your car down the street.

lootcrate-september-2016-014

It's held on by magnet only. I'm not sure how well this will hold on in the long run - but it's cool for display if you don't want to risk it on your hood.

Cylon Raider Titan - Value $15?

The final item of the box is from Titans and Battlestar Galactica!

lootcrate-september-2016-011

This little replica vinyl Cylon Raider is awesome!

lootcrate-september-2016-012

lootcrate-september-2016-010

It's got a lot of great detail - it's immediately my favorite Titan figure. I think this is only the second vehicle I've received from Titan (the Ecto-1 being the other), but this easily takes the cake.

I think I like this one so much because it doesn't have the typical exaggerated features from your typical Titan figure.

Verdict: I wasn't sure about this month's theme - and I don't think I was alone with that worry - but I really liked my Loot Crate this month. I'm a sucker for little replica items, and that was everything in the box! And the shirt! The shirt was my favorite shirt of the year from them. I'm not sure what the response will be as a whole to the Gone in 60 Seconds car, but I personally got a kick of it. I was also excited to see a really unique item this month with the hood ornament - while I'm not really sure if it's practical, it can see be displayed on a shelf

I subscribed to this crate in order to keep receiving a matching shirt to the shirt in the Loot Pets crate. I absolutely love the shirt, but the rest was just ok. Some of it will be presents for my nephews.

The hoodie ornament is supposed to be displayed on the crate — that’s why it turns into a classic car. You should update your photos.

Oh I am excited for this!! Mine is scheduled to deliver tomorrow. I have loved the Shelby ever since I saw Gone in 60 Seconds and I think it’s what I’m most excited about! Also the hood ornament- I know a DC fanatic with a Charger that this will look amazing on. I think they did a great job with the theme and I really like the subtle shirt design- it won’t be obvious to anyone that isn’t a Marvel nerd.

We skipped this one, and I’m glad we did. Not interested in any of this.

You could probably use the hood ornament as a fridge magnet instead!

Matt

Very disappointed in this crate. The hood ornament states you have to keep the speed under 75mph. It could also get stolen easily.

I put the entire crate up on eBay.

This is one of the first boxes reviewed that had something for every boy in my family (three sons and a husband). I’ll be keeping my eye on Loot Crate and may be subscribing soon.
