PLVSH Style Subscription Box Review – August 2016

PLVSH Style is a subscription styling service for plus-size women. They describe themselves as "Concierge Styling, Exclusively for Women Sizes 14+." I love this type of box! When I signed up, I had to fill out a pretty in-depth questionnaire regarding my size, style preferences, and lifestyle in order for them to select pieces that are just right for me. Selections for each subscriber will (and should) vary.

PLVSH sent this info sheet with details on each item and a brief explanation of why each piece was chosen for me. I really like knowing that everything was hand selected for me!

On the reverse side are some important reminders of their terms and the process for returning the items I don't wish to keep.

BB Dakota Lotus Print Tank - Cost to keep $85

I love this tank! It's so sty;ish and even flattering! But is it too late in the season to buy a tank top?

Vince Camuto Slim Fit Ankle Pants - Cost to keep $89

These pants are perfect. They feel good, they're the right length, and they have just the right amount of stretch. I also feel like they would go with almost anything.

Karen Kane Pencil Sleeve Shirt - Cost to keep $69

I love this top! It is super soft, and the cut is great. I think this is an exception to the pants going with anything, I don't think they go with this top, but I think the length of this top makes it the perfect basic piece to go with leggings.

Vince Camuto Falling Leaves Sleeveless Top - Cost to keep $79

This is a cute top, and I like the colors a lot. Unfortunately, I actually just bought a top almost exactly like this one that's a bit more flattering, so I think I have to pass on this one.

Yona NY Criss Cross Lagoon Top - Cost to keep $89

I had a lot of hope for this top because of the interesting design. You can kind of see in this picture that it's very layered and ruffle-y! I don't think it looks very good on me, though. I wish it had a more open neckline.

Verdict: This month's package from PLVSH was great, as usual! I definitely love the tank, but I don't know if I can justify keeping it with fall just around the corner! I also love the pants and the black top, too. I think PLVSH is a really great service for women who are too busy to shop, or even just those who prefer to try on clothes from the comfort of their own home! Their pieces tend to be a bit pricey, but they always send pieces that are current and high quality. I'm a big fan of PLVSH!

I like to layer tank tops when I need a little color. I am intrigued by this subscription; I detest shopping for clothes. thanks for adding the vote feature.

I definitely see that tank with a jacket it over it for fall. A fitted black one with jeans and boots would be so cute!

Love that you thought of this. It makes it alot more engaged with you and I like to see what others think too. I thought you should of kept more then half… You are so gorgeous girlfriend.
I think this would be fun to do on all boxes that you guys review if it doesn’t add a huge amount of extra work because that wouldnt be fun for everyone involved….

That Karen Kane pencil sleeve shirt is PHENOMENAL. Super flattering fit and is a great basic piece. I’m really loving all these voting features. Also, I echo what everybody is saying about the tanks… I always buy sleeveless at any time and wear them with nice cardigans.

These all look cute on you, but these prices are a bit much for end of season styles.

I voted no on the tanks because of the price. Nordstrom had quite a few BB Dakota tanks for $25.00. Just about all tank tops at major Dept.stores near me are about 60-80% off this week. I voted yes to the Karen Kane top-looks great on you!

If the tank was a bit cheaper, I would have voted to keep it. It is sooo cute on you and I love the print. I am not a print lover in general, but this is very nice! Too expensive so late in the season though. You look great in everything! Thanks for the pics and the voting is FUN!

Anna the last top is cute on you. You can rock that top with leggings.

I completely agree!!! I started to wonder if all the votes were just falling in line with Anna’s thoughts. That is polite but I like to think we are the critical friends giving real opinions and that last top is the real winner of all the pieces.

Wow, you guys think so? Hmmmm…

Claudia

The tank looks amazing on you and so does the falling leaves piece. The neckline on the pencil sleeve shirt is very flattering but I don’t like the way it falls. You look lovely in patterned clothes!

HI, Anna. Get the tank!!!! It’s gorgeous on you! Plus, you can definitely throw a cardi on over top for the winter months & you will be so glad you got it come next spring/summer. 🙂

Yes! This is what I do. You can still wear tank tops when the weather gets cooler, just pair them with a warm hoodie or cardigan and you’re all set. I think you should keep the tank, too. I love the tassels! 🙂
