Satva box is a new subscription box whose "goal is to provide an affordable way to discover the best natural beauty products." Satva means Pure in Sanskirt.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes)
The products were enclosed in this cute pink floral plastic bag. I love this packaging, so cute!
The Subscription Box: Satva Box
The Cost: $13.99 a month or $41.50 ($13.83 a box) for a 3-month subscription + free shipping.
The Products: Satva Box sends four all-natural beauty products which are "free of Parabens and harsh chemicals." The products will be a combination of sample size, deluxe size and on occasion, a full size product.
Ships to: US. Boxes ship between the 15th - 20th.
Check out the Beauty Subscription Box Directory and make sure to add Satva Box to your subscription box list or wish list.
Each box comes with a product card detailing the four core products included this month.
There’s a gift card enclosed for $15.00 to The Better Skin Co for their Miracle Cream. Good to know: Satva sent out an email letting subscribers know the gift card is extended until October 31st.
Glow Stick Bare Beauty (full size) - Value $14.95
I love the glow the mica shimmer brought to my face. The balm stick made for easy application. I applied it as a highlight and on my cupids bow, but this Glow Stick can also be used as a lip balm.
Root Pretty Sadie Blush (sample size) - Value $2.00
This loose mineral blush was a very tiny sample so was difficult getting the color onto my brush. Once I got the desired amount, I applied to my cheeks. The hint of color gave my cheeks a pop and brightened my face.
Here are both products swatched:
Zoe Organics Cream (full size) - Value $18.00
I previously received this in a mystery box from La Ritzy and had yet to use it. Now I have no excuse to try! The cream was thick and had no scent. Upon applying, I may have scooped up too much product because there was a greasy residue left on my skin (I had to rub the product into my skin to get rid of the residue). When I applied the next day I scooped out less and it was a lot better. The cream left my skin soft and moisturized. Also, this product is made with certified organic ingredients.
Kiss Me Honey Lip Balm (full size) - Value $4.99
“This lip balm contains anti-aging vitamins and antioxidants to keep lips soft, moisturized and soothed”. I love this lip balm because it went on smoothly and had no waxy residue like the Beaux Cosmetics Lip Therapy-Vitamin E found in this summer's MemOh Box. I prefer this lip balm over the other.
RYOR Multi-Active Beta-Glucan and Avocado Cream (bonus sample) - Value?
This was a small sample and was creamy and moisturizing on my skin. It tightens and firms skin as well as lessens the sign of tiredness. It works on all skin types and suitable to use day or night.
RYOR Almond Oil Nourishing Cream (bonus foil packet sample) - Value?
RYOR Cream with Amaranth Oil (bonus foil packet sample) - Value?
I was skeptical and didn’t use the two foil packets because they were so small seemed out of place with a sticker from Our Happy Box.
UPDATE: Satva let subscribers know they were originally informed these bonus samples were all natural. However it later came to their attention that although the samples are based on natural sources, they don't meet Satva's strict criteria for including them in their box.
Verdict: I was happy and pleased (minus the foil packets and sample avocado cream) with the inaugural Satva Box, which has a value of $39.94 for the core products. This first box was a hit and I enjoyed sampling natural organic products at an affordable cost. Plus, this box had 3 full-size items, woohoo! I look forward to more all-natural products and hopefully more full-size products as well.
