Shirt Block August 2016 - 1

Shirt Block August 2016 - 2

It comes with an information card with information on each shirt. I love that they did an artist bio on the featured shirt of the month - it's fun and gives a bit more information on how they chose to design their shirt.

Ok, on to the shirts:

Shirt Block August 2016 - 4

Pugcellent Shirt - Value $15?

This is the featured shirt of the month from artist Hillary White. On the card, she explains that she was going for an 80's feel - and I think she nailed it. I like that they included a shirt that's not related to a specific fandom - everyone can get down with a pug surfing on a slice of pizza.

Shirt Block August 2016 - 7

Ghostbusters Japan Shirt - Value $15?

This is my favorite shirt of the month - and I'm wearing it while writing this review! I love Ghostbusters and this is just a cool and unique design. A+!

Shirt Block August 2016 - 8

Sandtrooper's Best Friend Shirt - Value $15?

Every dog owner can relate to this Sandtrooper walking his Dewback. When we didn't have a yard, Buckles always seemed to take his time searching for just the right spot when it was absolutely freezing!

Shirt Block August 2016 - 5

Fight For Asgard Shirt - Value $15?

This one is pretty straight forward - it's the classic version of Thor! This is the most comic book feeling shirt of the bunch, and it's another winner for me.

Shirt Block August 2016 - 6

Majora's Mask Constellation Shirt - Value $15?

The final shirt of the month features Majora's Mask from Zelda. I feel like I've mentioned this numerous times - I'm not a Zelda fan, so this one was a bit of a miss for me - but I know I'm totally in the minority here, so I'm sure it's a hit. It also glows in the dark!

Verdict: This was a great first box from Shirt Block! I really like the shirts this month, and since they're also exclusive, it makes it a bit cooler in my book. Also, the bonus $10 voucher is always a great addition - you can pick up a POP from their store for $6 shipped. Overall, my value is $75 ($85 if you count the voucher) - which is good for a $40 box! They promise $100 value in the box, so they're valuing the shirts at $20 a piece - so it's really about the value of the shirts to you.

Wow. this is awesome. I had no idea about this site. I love how you can switch out the sizes in case you want to gift one of the shirts.

I was really happy with this box. It is hard for (for me at least) to find fun t-shirts in a ladies cut 100% cotton. All the prints I would possibly like end up being on rayon and polyester and horribly sweaty/non breathable/ ugh. The woman’s fitted shirts are Gildan 100% soft spun cotton and run closer to Junior’s sizing. I ordered a large (I’m generally a size 4) to allow for shrinkage. The ladies shirts were not scratchy at all after one wash. I am really haply with the box and I’m getting the 2nd before canceling.

Yes. As I suspected. the cotton these shirts are made from is scratchy and I hate the feeling.
I will not be subscribing to this again. I love the thought of getting 5 shirts a month but I can’t stand to wear them.

I got this and I’m concerned about the shirt quality. I don’t like the rough cotton feel Do these soften up after washing?
Also, Is this the best they can do with the launch of a new box?
I don’t hate everything in the box, I am just not jumping up and down with excitement.

Love the staypuft and pug shirts! Seems like a nice sub but like mist I am in T-shirt overload. I definitely don’t need 5 extra t-shirts every month.

I love my Ghostbusters shirt too!! What a dope design!! I was super happy when I saw that one and you’re right – who can’t get down with a classic throwback 80’s shirt with a pug surfing on a pizza. He’s even wearing heart shaped sunglasses, haha. Love this subscription but I’m not sure I need 5 shirts a month so I’m not sure how long I’ll hang in there but great 1st box!
