Pickled and dried in Northern California, these dried mushrooms are the perfect equivalent to having a pound of fresh mushrooms on hand whenever you need them. Once rehydrated you can add them to any dish to deliver the rich and pungent flavors of fresh porcini mushrooms. They can elevate the simplest dish into something elegant and extraordinary, especially when tossed into pasta or incorporated into creamy risotto.
For this classic version of Mustard and Co.’s innovative and decadent line of mustard’s, they have partnered up with Jacobsen Salt Co. to create a flavorful and unique take on classic brown-style mustard. There is a nice bite to it that resembles a horseradish flavor but it’s really just the zip from the raw organic mustard seeds. With minimal processing and an obvious attention to detail this mustard is clean and simple with a little bit of zest to boot.
The most popular cookie in Belgium, this crunchy treat gets its distinguishable taste from an aromatic blend of nine spices, including cinnamon, cloves, pepper and cardamom. Traditional to 17th and 18th century, when Speculoos cookies were cut into shapes that reflected the popular trends, these cookies are carved into shapes that reflect memories of the artisan. The sweet and woody tastes align perfectly with a warm cup of your favorite coffee or tea.
Whole wheat flour and malt powder give these light and fluffy pancakes a nutty and savory flavor. With a comforting ease in the simple preparation the end result is a plate of golden brown pancakes made with whole ingredients that never compromise quality or taste. Eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner and top with berries, maple syrup or butter. Any which way you eat them it will be a delightful and tasty meal.
These sun-ripened and organic figs are mixed with chopped California almonds and pistachio nuts to create a crunchy texture and a lusciously sweet flavor. The nuts and fig seeds add a delightful crunch to the thick cake-like surface. Figs provide a multitude of vitamins, minerals and fiber, making these a healthy bite for a morning boost or late afternoon snack. Perfect with platters of charcuterie and cheeses or broken apart and sprinkled over oatmeal or ice cream.
Orange Raspberry Sugar (no photo available)
This elegant hand-blended organic sugar is mixed with a bundle of dried raspberries and sprinkled with zests of orange peel. The delicate citrus aroma pairs beautifully with the fruity essence of the raspberry. The colorful crystals will sparkle in a cup of coffee or tea and will add a lovely hint of refreshing sweetness to anything you add it to. Speckle over a fruit bowl or raspberry tartlets or use to rim your cocktail glass for a sugar coated Cosmopolitan.
