I so wish Ulta had a box like Sephora’s Play! Or that they did these sample boxes regularly…
I have to split my loyalty points between the two, and that costs me free stuff! :p Especially since I get my hair colored and cut at Ulta, but I subscribe to Play!

The product brands in these boxes are not impressive. I would love an Ulta box but it has to be better than this.

I would like to see them do boxes along the lines of Sephora’s Favorite’s. I love Ulta, I love their rewards program, however they could improve on this point.

I’m hoping they’re only testing the market with these boxes, as I also hope they start doing boxes comparable to Sephora’s Favorites.
A while ago I received a survey asking what I thought about the Ulta kits (i.e. similar to the one that Liz posted with the case above), and in the comments section I stated that while those are fine, to be more competitive with their main competitor they should sell kits similar to Sephora’s Favorites. They have the capacity to introduce beauty products for all budgets, unlike Sephora, so I mentioned that it’d be a good idea to develop kits that are drugstore only, prestige only, and a mixture of both with some having a product focus (I cited the LashStash kits) with others having a variety. I’m sure having something comparable to Sephora’s Favorites kits was the top write-in comment they got from those who took the survey. 🙂 Fingers crossed there are more (and better ones) to come!

They do currently have some hair kits out that are along the line of Sephora’s favorites. I have picked up a few at my local Ulta and they are online too.

These are all Target brands. I thought these would be kits of the Ulta brand. The second box is really an overpriced Target Beauty Box.

The mascara box has an Ulta mascara.
I agree …I would love for Ulta to have a box. I just dumped birchbox and am looking for a replacement. Looks like it’s Sephora for me.

Yeah, that’s a good point. I was expecting (and would be far more interested if it was) things I couldn’t easily find anywhere, or Ulta brand stuff that maybe I haven’t tried. Bummer.

These both look so good! Don’t need any of it, but seriously considering it! The addiction is real, y’all ?
