Now onto the items!
GLAMGLOW® POWERMUD™ Dualcleanse Treatment - .5 oz Value $20.25
Glamglow! This is one of those brands I recommend to all my friends (and I'm always happy to see it in a subscription box).
One thing I like about Glamglow masks is that they dry and tighten as you wear them. (I love a beauty product that lets me know it is working!) This one took about 10 minutes to dry, and when I washed it off, my skin felt so incredibly clean and ready to absorb skincare products!
Avène Hydrance Optimale Hydrating Cream RICH - .5 oz Value $11.85
This cream is exactly what I expected from Avene - super hydrating! (I love their water mists, too.) It's a rich cream, but it absorbed quickly and was gentle on my skin.
This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray - 5 ml Value $2
This is a spray for your pillow and sheets! It's made with Lavender, Camomile, and Vetivert scents, and I really like the blend. (I have a lot of lavender scented oils thanks to subscription boxes, so it's nice to have something that's a little different.)
Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo - .9 oz Value $6.60
This does not give a gold sheen to your hair like I was secretly hoping it would, but it has all the hallmarks of the Oribe dry shampoo line. AKA, it makes your hair smell AMAZING, plus it does a great job at absorbing oil, too.
And even the cap is fab!
MAKE Silk Cream Lipstick in Magnolia - Value $2.50
(I can't find a size listed on this sample, so I'm assuming it's 1/10th of the size of the full-size version for value estimates.)
This lipstick lives up to its name - the formula is creamy and glides on well. The pigment is great, too. Here it is swatched:
The color is a little bold for me, but I was able to use just a little and blend it out for a more wearable color.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $43.20 - that's great for a $10 beauty box. And I think that this is one of Birchbox's best-curated boxes in a while. (Glamglow + Oribe in the same box? Yes, please!)
