MistoBox is a coffee subscription box that sends 12 oz. bags of coffee that are selected just for you.
When you sign up for a subscription, you let MistoBox know what type of coffee you’d like to receive and how often you’d like to receive it. They then pair you up with a “coffee curator” who learns your preferences and picks coffee to suit your taste and budget.
Here’s a screenshot of my preferences. I’ve opted to receive lightly roasted deluxe blends and single origin coffees once every 4 weeks. Keep in mind that the coffee I receive is picked for me based on my personal preferences— your shipment might be totally different!
If you don’t enjoy a coffee you receive, MistoBox will replace it for free.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

1000 Faces Coffee Guji Jet (12 oz.)- $16
1000 Faces is based in Athens, GA, and they pride themselves on their partnerships with coffee producers. Their coffee has received a couple of Good Food Awards and even a shoutout by Alton Brown as one of the Top Coffee Stops from AB Road Eats 2014.
Guji Jet is an Ethiopian coffee that’s grown at an altitude of 1900-2200 meters and then washed.
This coffee was awarded a silver medal at the 2016 Compak Golden Bean North America Coffee Roasters Competition.
1000 Faces recommends looking for delicate flavors of jasmine and honey. (They compare this coffee to a cup of jasmine green tea that’s been sweetened with honey.)
This coffee is SO GOOD! The flavors are mellow, yet delicious, and if I close my eyes while I’m drinking it I can definitely pick out the honey flavor.
It’s smooth and easy to drink, but it has enough flavor and complexity to remain interesting to the last sip. I LOVE this coffee.
Verdict: This is my third shipment from MistoBox, and I’m so impressed. The coffee has all of my favorite attributes: it’s smooth, complex, and delicious. Also, the light-medium roast is exactly to my preference. I feel like MistoBox really listened to the feedback I provided about my last two boxes because this month’s coffee is a perfect pick for me. In terms of value, I paid $18.99 and I received about $14.75 worth of coffee. Considering the level of personalized curation and the fact that I’d need to pay shipping if I ordered this coffee myself, I’m happy with the value.
