The fall box came with a card decorated in a fall foliage design. The card reads "Fall In Love!"
The back of the card lists all the products included in the box. This season's box included 4 beauty items.
Just like the summer box, the fall box included this pretty vegan beauty sticker.
OFRA Cosmetics Blush Stripes in Illuminating - FULL-SIZE! Value $35
This is such a pretty palette with great pigment! The top two shades are fantastic highlighting shades for medium to light skin tones. I'm fair enough to use the 2nd bright shade on my cheekbones but mixing the top two is just lovely. The top shade has a pink undertone which works well with my complexion. The 3rd stripe is a very pretty pale pink with a healthy dose of shimmer. I tend to go with matte blushes so this one won't get a lot of use from me. I really like the bottom bronzy shade as an eyeshadow, it's a great shimmery warm tone.
Here's a look at the 4 shades swatched.
Here you can see the bright shimmer of these powders in the sunlight!
Bellapiere Cosmetics HD Makeup Primer in Flawless Finish - FULL-SIZE! Value $75.00
This primer is designed to treat dryness, fine lines, excess oil, and enlarged pores, which is basically a list of all my skin concerns! I applied this clear, gel-like primer to my face and my skin felt smooth and ready for foundation. The packaging recommends 1-2 pumps of primer, I recommend starting with 1 to be safe. The value is listed at $75 but you'll be able to find this on the internet for a lot less.
Au Naturale Organic Creme Eye Shadow in Ivory - FULL-SIZE! Value $20
The Au Naturale creme eyeshadow came in a frosted glass jar with a metal lid. The formula is very sheer which makes it good for a no-makeup makeup look. It's been a while since I've put on a full face of makeup, so I like the idea of a barely-there eyeshadow I can quickly apply before running out the door.
Here is a swatch of the creme eyeshadow. It has a touch of shimmer and is very close to my skin tone so it would also work well for me as a cream highlighter.
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Liquid Lip in Reese - FULL-SIZE! Value $24
This is a cherry-red liquid lip from Juice Beauty. Most of the liquid lips I have seen and have purchased are of the liquid to matte variety but this is a liquid lip with a nice shine. The formula is more full-coverage than a lip stain or a lip gloss. The Reese shade is a bit too bold for me and leaves no room for application errors. I found that the formula was nice and hydrating and I was able to remove it without it staining my lips.
Here's a look at the bold red color. You can see some dried pigment areas in this swatch but I didn't see any issues with clumps when applied to the lip.
Verdict: The fall box has a total listed value of $154 which is great for a $39.95 box! There are some products (like the primer) that you may be able to find cheaper if you shop around. I appreciate the quality, curation, and vegan ingredients in the Makeup Box. I really liked the OFRA highlight/blush stripes palette and look forward to mixing shades for that perfect highlight. I think I'll get the most use out of the primer but expected a bit more pigment from the eyeshadow. The deep cherry red color of the liquid lip was a miss for me, I would love to try this formula in a nude shade, though!
