Inside the pretty pink box, Cate & Chloe has included a few pieces of information. There's a list of the jewelry pieces included, a little note about the early-winter inspiration, and details about some of the beauty treats in the box.

Aren't these ribbon-tied boxes glamorous? I feel so classy opening each one.

Sloane "Hero" Sterling Silver 18k White Gold Plated Swarovski Drop Necklace - Value $175.00

This necklace is delicate, lightweight, and versatile, thanks to its simplicity and clean lines. The crystals add just a touch of sparkle in their silvery settings. It's a little traditional for my style, but I could see using this necklace to add a spark of something special to an office outfit.

Here's a look at the pendant part close up.

It seems like this, and all of the jewelry in the Cate & Chloe box is exclusive to their site (and their Amazon site). Similar necklaces (sterling silver, gold-plated, Swarovski crystal...) are priced much lower, so I'd say this very simple piece might be valued a little bit higher than deserved.

Adeline "Feminine" White Gold Plated Swarovski Bracelet - Value $165.00

This brilliant bracelet sat comfortably around my wrist. It's 60mm long, according to the Cate & Chloe site, and very lightweight. The gems are clear and reflect light in crisp, eye-catching ways. I thought the little groups of four gems were cute while remaining conservative and simple. Very versatile, pretty, and comfortable!

Again, the price seems a little high. (This item on Swarovski's site is rhodium-plated, rather than white-gold plated, but it's still about $65.00 less than this similar, and somewhat simpler, bracelet).

Edie "Queen" Ring Set - Value $49.00

These stackable rings have a bohemian quality I didn't expect from Cate & Chloe, but one that I really like! These rings are white-gold-plated and complimented by crystals and zinc alloy, according to the site. I liked that the crystals were a bit more demure and understated here. (The pattern of each ring makes the statement, not the gem.)

Check out the opalescent stones in the ring on the left. I love the subtle flash of color! It's so dreamy.

The website says these rings are a size 6, which seems right. I'm usually about a 7, and these rings were just a smidge tight on me.

Similar sets of rings are priced much lower, so again, I feel like the Cate & Chloe price is a little high.

Dr. Lipp's Original Nipple Balm for Lips, 0.068 fl oz. - Value $2.21

Weird name, awesome product! This packet of balm seems small, but it'll last you. At first, I squeezed a dose about the size of a lentil onto my finger, and that ended up being way more product than I needed! This balm is like a super-thick gel, sort of like if coconut oil was twice as dense and as sticky as petroleum jelly. The thickness is the key, though, since it makes this potion feel less like a balm and more like a full-on lip treatment, which is exactly what my cracking, early-winter lips were begging for.

The formula clings to your lips and takes a long time to sink in. Not only did my lips feel immediately calmer, they stayed plump and happy for several hours after I applied this balm.

Bliss Beauty Organic Peppermint Essential Oil, 1 fl oz. - Value $9.99

I love essential oils, so this peppermint oil is a welcome sight. Peppermint's an energizing scent, and this natural formula has plenty of applications (as aromatherapy, or even insect repellant!).

Verdict: I liked this Cate & Chloe box! I'm giving the side-eye to the prices they give their jewelry items because they seem a bit high when looking at comparable finds. Going by Cate & Chloe's prices, the value of the box is about $401.00. Even if that's a little high, the $39.99 price of the box still seems more than fair for the pieces you get—most nicer jewelry is at least $40.00 a pop, and here, you get three beautiful jewelry pieces plus extra treats. I can't wait to start wearing my new accessories around!

Is Cate & Chloe your style?

I know that this is so not the point of the review but I couldn’t resist… I was introduced to Dr. Lipp when I first started breastfeeding to help my poor ravished nips, hence the name. 😉

I have just subbed to this, but purchased from their store, EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL!

I have the sub. for $20.00 so I get one piece per month. The quality of the jewelry is very, very good.
When they send me something I don’t like I return it and pick what I want instead. No hassles ever. I do have to pay for the return shipping which is $2.60. I’m very happy with them.

What do you normally receive in the Starter Package ($20) subscription? I am thinking about subscribing, but wanted to see what they normally send in it first.

Thanks for any help!

I’ve been keeping my eye on this box for a little while. While I think that $40 is a good deal for the number of pieces you get, I think it’s a little ridiculous that they insist on inflating their prices so much. It may be the photos, but they look a little on the cheap side, like something we would get at a Forever21 that the clasp would break off after the second time wearing it. The rings are cute though.

All of the pieces have looked super cheap to me. The only reason I’m keeping them is because I am a photographer, so I need accessories when I style my clients. The quality of the jewelry is not apparent in photos since they’re not the focus.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on you – I was shocked at the lousy quality of the jewelry in my first (and last) box; absolute junk, to the tune of 150.00 on their website (laughable). Stupid me – I cancelled immediately and subscribed to Emma and Chloe, as I’m interested in REAL quality. If anyone likes their stuff that much, they can get it for a couple of bucks on Ali Express.

Laurie

Do they have an option that lets you request no earrings?

Cheree

Yes, they do.
The pieces that I have received, so far, blend perfect with my “real” jewelry. Things I have received, have been a real .925 silver cuff bracelet, and 2 necklaces that are 18K gold plated, Swarovski Crystal pieces. They are made well and do look “real” jewelry. I think the trick is to not go with the statement necklaces or Statement pieces.
