$20 worth of merch in my cart and they want $12 in shipping. Nope. :-/

Just spoke with customer service at PetPack (they were very nice!) they said there was an over load on the website due to orders and the cheaper shipping option was down. They’ve gotten it up and running so the option for Retail Ground shipping was added. Just stocked up, but I would get it while you’re can, I think their stuff is flying off the shelves!

Thanks for the info. It seems that the website is still having problems though. Now I have a $60 option for 1-3 days or a $80 option for 2-8 days ground!!! Ummmm….cost is going wrong direction. 🙂

Hmm… ya it worked for me. Shipping charges also depend on weight, size and which zone you are located in. If you’re purchasing a lot of product, than the weight and size might be getting up there with a combination of your zone which would spike the prices. When I spoke to the customer service rep, they said the rates are all automatically generated through USPS, so they aren’t coming up with the cost themselves.
May try talking to customer service? I ordered a ton and it only cost me $13 for shipping.

Really? I just tried to place an order again and the “retail ground” was even more expensive than the priority.

I also had a cart full of christmas treats and was shocked at the shipping charge. Needless to say, I did not purchase.

It is sad to see subscription boxes ending. Especially pet ones since there are not too many for cats. I was not subscribed to this one though since we just do not have the budget. I was going to buy from the Sale but the item I wanted was $4.50 and the shipping was close to $6 which is way too expensive for me considering I do not know how well the product would work for us.

When I reviewed this subscription, especially the cat version, the value was always quite low compared to the subscription cost. I wonder if they were paying ridiculous amounts for shipping the boxes and passing the costs on to consumers?
I know shipping is a difficult issue for smaller subscriptions, but Priority Mail flat rate boxes do not cost $40 to send, either. Even large, heavy UPS boxes don’t cost that much to send.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Searched around and found great treats, toys and grooming supplies for my 2 cats and 2 dogs and filled my cart with $70 worth of merchandise, only to find out shipping is $40!!! I emailed the company to see if this is accurate or an error and stated that I find it hard to believe most people, myself included, would pay $40 shipping for $70 worth of merchandise. Hoping to hear back something positive…

Yes shipping costs are outrageously high. I know how much a USPS priority mail box costs to ship. Seems to me discounted items aren’t really discounted at all… they seem to be making up the difference in inflated shipping costs.

I noticed the same thing with the shipping! I was going to stock up on toys for my destructive dog and treats for doggy friends for Christmas and after I had my cart all full the only option was $48 for 1-3 day shipping!!! So then I trimmed it all down to just the Christmas gifts (thinking a smaller purchase might give me more shipping options) and it only went down to $28! That idea went out the window….not sure why they won’t offer a more reasonable shipping option….
