If you aren’t familiar with Golden Tote, here’s a really quick intro: Every month you get to pick out 1-2 pieces, and they surprise you with the rest. (The surprise items are completely different from the pieces you pick from). For the $149 tote, you pick 2 items and get 3-4 more surprise items based on your style profile.
FYI – This is not a typical subscription, each month they release a new collection and you can decide whether or not you want to buy it.
Every month they design a new tote, too! This wolf design is so pretty.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Bajee V-Neck Sweater, Olive – Value $40
(45% Acrylic, 55% cotton; hand wash cold, hang dry)
I love this sweater! It’s a really nice basic and is just my style. It’s warm and fits well, too.
Le Lis Colorblock Top – Value $40
(61.1% polyester, 32.9% rayon, 6% spandex; hand wash cold, lay flat to dry)
I wasn’t sure how I felt about the color blocking when I pulled this out of my tote, but once I had it on, I realized that I love it! It’s not something I’d normally pick out for myself but the silhouette is comfortable and flattering. The color blocking doesn’t go all the way around, though – it’s just the light pink on top and the gray on the bottom.
Favorite Fringe Cardigan in Navy – Value $80
(65% acrylic, 24% viscose, 10% spandex; hand wash cold, lay flat to dry)
This is one of my chosen items this month, and I’m obsessed. The colors are gorgeous and perfect for Fall/Winter, and it's crazy comfortable.
Here it is open! I love the way it drapes. I’ve worn this so many times since getting my tote this month!
Esley Long Sleeve Floral Print Midi Dress – Value $40
(self: 100% polyester, lining: 100% rayon; hand wash cold, hang dry)
So, I really dislike this dress, but I can see where my stylist chose it for the floral pattern/midi length, both of which I emphasize in my style profile. This fits well, but the empire waist and the color/pattern are much more boho than my taste, which is generally classic/feminine.
I emailed customer service about it and they sent me a new surprise item right away, and I’ll just send this back when I get it. When this has happened to me before, I’ve always liked the replacements and have always been really happy with the customer service from their team.
Embracing Basic Skirt in Black – Value $40
(94% Rayon, 6% Spandex; hand wash cold, dry clean recommended)
This was my other chosen item this month. I am loving this skirt! I love the length and it’s really comfortable. It’s definitely versatile, too. I can pair it with tights and booties, or heels to dress it up, or flats, too. I nice black skirt is a staple I don’t have in my wardrobe yet so I had to snag this one.
Verdict: I loved this Golden Tote, aside from the one miss dress (which has a replacement on the way anyway). I’ve already worn everything else at least once! For value, I got $240 worth of boutique clothing items for $149, which I’m happy with! I’m especially happy this month because of my great customer service experience.
