J.K. Rowling Wizarding World Crate is one of the latest entries in the Loot Crate family of subscription boxes. This box is focused on the world created by J.K. Rowling and features items from harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
The box is pretty standard - but I do love the closure sticker that makes it look like a locked suitcase. "Muggle Worthy" is engraved on the lock!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The intro box of this subscription was based on both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and was timed perfectly with the movie release. You get to pick your house when you sign up, but that information wasn't used this month - so we're still excited to find out how that will apply to future deliveries.
You'll be greeted by a rolled up information sheet (that's not a wax seal - the sticker just looks like a seal). One side is blank, but the other contains information on all of the items in your box.
Like all Loot Crate subscription boxes, it will include a monthly pin. This month's pin features a Bowtruckle from Fantastic Beasts.
Fantastic Beasts T-Shirt - Value $15?
This official, exclusive, shirt is from Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. It features a page print from the New York Ghost newspaper. I have yet to read the screenplay or see the movie, so all this does is add to the guilt of me not seeing the movie.
I like the black and white design - and it's still a subtle shout out to the Wizarding World!
Pigwidgeon Plush - Value $15?
Pigwidgeon is Ron Weasley's owl that was gifted by Sirius Black (nothing can replace Scabbers, though).
This ultra-soft plush owl is around 8 inches tall. It reminds me of the owls that are sold at Universal Studios, which we had previously bought for a first birthday! It's never too early to introduce them to the Wizarding World!
Newt Scamander POP - Value $10 on Amazon
Time to start my next collection of POPs! You would receive 1 of a possible 5 POPs including Newt Scamander, Tina Goldstein, the Niffler, Dumbledore, or Jacob Kowalski - who did everyone get?
I'm happy to start my collection off with the main protagonist of the new franchise! There are two Newt's to collect - one with a briefcase, and this one where he's holding the Occamy egg.
There are so many to collect, and this is only phase 1!
MACUSA Notebook - Value $10?
Next, you'll receive your very own 8.5 x 5.5 inch notebook from the Magical Congress.
on the inside back panel - there's a fun little "Real Time" hex indicator across the United States!
It's a pretty standard notebook beyond that.
Hedwig/Letter Keychain - Value $10?
Lastly, we receive a keychain featuring Hedwig (Harry's owl) and a sealed envelope. I like that way the two charms hang - it makes it look like Hedwig is delivering the letter to Harry - how appropriate!
Verdict: The first box from J.K. Rowlings Wizarding World featured 2 items from the Harry Potter franchise, and 4 from Fantastic Beasts. With the timing of the movie, that make sense to me, but I'm curious if the next box will lean more towards Harry. The value is definitely there and I had a blast going through the items. I thought this a really strong opening crate for this subscription, and I think this will get better as they get more and more exclusives - and feature item based on your house.
What did you think of the first box from J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World crate?
