Legion of Collectors ships bi-monthly and is always themed. This theme was Batman Villains!
It comes with a detailed card that lays out the month's choices. From time to time, they'll show concept art and original ideas with details on how they landed on choosing your items for the month. I love their cards - they're fun to read through!
Each month will always include a pin and patch - this month feature a Bane patch and The Riddler on the pin.
Catwoman POP - Value $20-25?
This month's POP was based on the original Catwoman costume.
She's got the classic purple and green outfit - and always with the classic whip. This POP had trouble standing (and no, there was no clear stand), so it may take some adjusting with some heat to adjust the feet to account for her hair. The advice I always get is to use a hair dryer to heat up the vinyl to be able to manipulate it.
This completes my collection of the classic Batman line!
Two-Face Dorbz - Value $15-20
They sent a Dorbz figure this month and it features my personal favorite Batman villain - Two-Face!
This Dorbz figure has it all - I love the texture on the green side of his face, and he's got his coin!
Here's a better look and the good and the bad of Two-Face!
The Joker Mug - Value $10-15?
These mugs are divisive, to say the least, for subscribers. I now love these mugs, and I use a different one every day (I'm using Rocket Raccoon today!), so I was excited to get a classic villain mug for my collection!
We've been putting these through the dishwasher even though they aren't marked as dishwasher safe. So far, so good - we haven't had a single issue or paint chip.
The Joker POP Top - Value $15?
Mister J makes a second appearance this month as a POP Top. This replaces the shirt this month as the apparel item, and I have never been able to get behind the hats, they just aren't my style.
I do appreciate the purple accents for a Joker hat, though!
Batman #23.2 - Value $3.99 + Exclusive variant cover
This month's comic is an older comic from the New 52 era. It features The Riddler and gives some insight into the making of E. Nygma.
I love the Scott Snyder run of Batman - so I highly encourage you to read it!
Verdict: Aside from the hat, I like all of the items this month. I always want two POPs, but that's not typical - and it does make it more special when it does happen. I'm loving my new mug and my Two-Face Dorbz figure, more Two-Face, please!
