Ok - stick with me as I explain this. NatureBox has updated their subscription model. NatureBox is now a members-only snack buying service - the membership cost is $5 a month. That $5 will be credited towards your first snack purchase every month. You can cancel your membership at any time. You may buy as many snacks as you like each month - the $5 is simply for access to purchase the snacks. If you do not use the $5 in during the month, it will roll over to the new month.

We're still on a recurring subscription plan which is continuing at the moment, or so it seems - which also grants us a free membership to the new Club - so we can buy additional snacks. NatureBox is no longer open to new subscriptions, though, only to the new NatureBox Club membership.

It's kind of like the StitchFix modeling fee membership model, but for snacks.

Got it? OK! Let's go!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Whole Wheat Strawberry Figgy Bars

Figgy Bars have been a frequent addition to our NetureBox boxes. They're individually wrapped bars that are essentially whole wheat Fig Newtons. This month, our filling was Strawberry. These tend to be a bit dry, but are tasty and good in a pinch each morning.

Sriracha Roasted Cashews

These were my favorite savory snack of the month. They've got a little bit of kick to them, but the Sriracha is not over the top. These are my current go-to for something savory until they're gone!

Crispy Snickerdoodles

YUM! I don't think I've had these before, and wow, are they tasty! Easily my favorite item this month, these little crispy snickerdoodles are bite-size and wonderful.

Blueberry Almond Quinoa Bites

These were a surprise hit for me this month. I'm not a big quinoa fan, but these clusters were nice, light, and crunchy - with lots of blueberry flavor!

Sour Cream and Onion Straws

Our last snack were these fry chips. Do Andy Capp fries still exist? Because these are exactly like those! The flavor was great as well - these were gone within an hour or two of it being photographed.

Verdict: I'm definitely going to miss the NatureBox subscription box - I liked getting mystery snacks each month! But, with the new model - you can still get 5 snacks for around $20-25 (and free shipping if you hit $25), so it's still a nice service if you like NatureBox snacks.

What do you think of the changes? Are you a fan of NatureBox?

I am a monthly subscriber with the ten snack prepaid option which is six boxes for $177. At this time I’m still a subscriber but I am not sure if my sub will be renewed or if I will be rolled into the new plan. I’m also not quite sure if the free membership is just for the first club order. With the variety of prices when ordering from Naturebox club it is hard to tell if the ne pw or old way will be better for my snack hungry family.

I have never received a freebie snack which is okay since I have never complained about past snacks. I have always had great customer service via the chat system. Sometimes my fave snack is sold out but I keep a few extra snack choices in my pantry as suggested so that we always get things we like. I’m so happy to be able to have snacks that avoid certain sweeteners and artificial colours that getting substitutes is never an issue.

Man, that blows, I guess it doesn’t blow if FOR CERTAIN you ordered oh those awesome and lovely Sriracha Roasted Cashews but if you ordered those and they sent you a substitute (as was quite often the case in my year or two with them) I’d be IRKED!!
I’ve often thought about going back to them but then remembered that the things I really loved from them were often out of stock.
Mmmmm Sriracha Roasted Cashews. They only came to me once out of the whole time, even though they were on my list nearly every time. But that one time was oh-so-good.
Someone else said the dried Pineapple. Yeah that one kicks tail too.

Love their snacks had two month but the second month at $19+ for me is a bit much. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing but I just can’t afford it, so since my daughters don’t want me to give them up- I’m doing the skip a month/pause thing. I think that’s cheap to charge a member fee.
I’ve had no trouble with substitutes or if I didn’t like a product and them sending me a free replacement. I’m the one who hasn’t liked a couple of things.
Otherwise, so far they’ve been the best tasting food box for me, so far…

They sent me an email about this, but I guess I missed the part about the subscription service ending. That’s kind of a bummer because I liked being able to put items in my panty and then basically forgetting about it. Anyway-about the snacks-we get those sriracha cashews in every single box. They are amazing. I have also gotten the snicker doodles every box since they came out. The figgy bars are always good and even my kids love them. I haven’t tried the other 2, but I might have to based on your review. We also love the dried pineapple, whole wheat chocolate chip cookies, and the cinnamon yogurt covered mini graham crackers.

I used to get NatureBox, their snacks were delicious. I stopped because after I would select my snacks for the month, they would run out of stock and substitute a snack that they chose instead of emailing to let me know that half of my choices were gone. It’s been about 2 years since my last box, maybe their communication has improved.

That has only happened to me once and I’ve gotten this box for at least 3 years.

I didn’t know about this change until I live chatted them on their site. The person was helpful, but I would have just been completely unaware if I hadn’t seen the site change and talk to customer care.

Ake

Nope! That still happens.
