rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-booklet

Opening this box was so much fun for my daughter. The box itself has designs inside, perfect for coloring. There was a welcome booklet personalized with simple directions for returning unwanted items. Each box comes with a price sheet listing each item of clothing and price. Rockets of Awesome designs and manufactures their own independent line of clothing (sizing available in 2-14).

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-striped-shirt

Long Sleeve Stripe Mix Top – Price to keep: $28

This shirt is fabulous. My daughter loved the fit and design. It was soft cotton with a bit of stretch and then a contrasting ruffle hem that added length making it perfect for leggings or skinny jeans. Plus pink is her favorite color!

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-gray-shirt

Long Sleeve Flounce Tee - Price to keep: $28

My daughter loves this gray t-shirt. The contrasting white fabric at the hem is flowy and lengthens the shirt making it ideal for skinny pants.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-eye-shirt

Long Sleeve Oolala Tee - Price to keep: $22

Oolala! My daughter calls this her eyeball shirt and thinks it’s hysterical! The cobalt blue is a gorgeous color and the cotton is soft.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-leggings

Leopard Leggings - Price to keep: $16.00

These pink leopard print leggings have gold glitter on them and fit my daughter well. I think this print is so cheery and fun! These are a size 4/5 and she just turned 3 years old. I don’t imagine these would fit her in a year though so I would say order up a size for your child when it comes to pants.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-pocket-t

Long Sleeve Pocket Tee - Price to keep: $18.00

This pocket tee has a hi-lo hem which I think is a great detail. It’s soft and lightweight. This will be a great layering piece when the temperatures drop.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-sweatshirt

Deep Lake Long Sleeve Glitter Hem - Price to keep: $28.00

This deep blue sweatshirt is a thick knit with a sparkly tulle hem. The hem detail really makes it special and fancy. This top was slightly more form-fitting than the other tops that arrived this month.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-silver-skirt

Metallic Skirt - Price to keep: $24.00

This skirt is too large for my daughter right now, but I’m sure the way she’s growing it will fit within the year. It’s unique and shiny!

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-black-skirt

Skater Skirt - Price to keep: $22.00

This skirt is also way too big for my daughter right now, but we love the style. The basic black will go with so many of her tops, but the flounce gives it some extra style so it’s not boring.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-dress

Stripe Tulle Dress - Price to keep: $36.00

This was our favorite item in the box. My daughter fell in love with it just as much as the dress Rockets of Awesome sent in our previous box. The gray and white striped top is thick and warm like a sweatshirt. The skirt is neon pink tulle which is beautiful. I love the pink zipper detail down the back as well.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-black-pants

Pull-on Jegging - Price to keep: $24.00

These pull on jeggings are stretchy and comfortable for my daughter. They are a great neutral pair of pants we will be reaching for frequently.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-purse

Heart Crossbody Bag - Price to keep: $16.00

What a fun purse; it’s covered in white iridescent glitter with googly eyes and even eyelashes! My daughter has been carrying it around non-stop with her plastic cell phone and brush.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-sweater

Metallic Stripe Sweater - Price to keep: $28.00

I’m so happy to see a sweater included in the box because winters here in NJ are very cold. This black sweater has silver stripes and was soft and slouchy.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-model1

Here is my daughter in the striped sweater and leopard leggings. Some of the items in this box didn’t seem to go as well together as last time so I’m sorry if these outfits aren’t matching that well! I just tried to have fun with it and let her be spunky.

Here’s my daughter in her striped and tulle dress. She told me she is a princess when she wears this dress!

Oolala shirt with eyeballs!

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-model4

Flounce tee and leopard leggings.

Here is my daughter wearing the jeggings, pocket tee, and crossbody bag.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-model6

This is the skater skirt (held up with a binder clip at her waist!) and the sparkly hem sweatshirt.

rockets-of-awesome-november-2016-model7

Striped shirt and jeggings.

And finally, the silver skirt which was swimming on her and the striped sweater. I tucked in the sweater to try to keep the skirt up and also to show off the cute pink waistband!

Verdict: We had a lot of fun unpacking and modeling our Rockets of Awesome box. Rockets of Awesome sends boxes four times a year, but you can skip a box if you prefer to get them less frequently. Shipping back the items you choose not to keep is made simple with their pre-paid return label. Based on the colors I had mentioned my daughter likes when I initially signed up and the kinds of clothing she wears (girly, sparkly, and fun) I felt they sent us items that were a perfect match. Everything is very well made too with thoughtful details. We sized up for my daughter for this box and some of the items are large on her, but the 2/3 were too small last time around so we seem to be in between sizes at the moment. Rockets of Awesome sends unique, fun clothing that my daughter loves and I definitely recommend this subscription for your young fashionista.

I decided to give this a try November of last year. I never received anything from them but their site had 3 packages totalling almosy $800 status as delivered. I emailed them and told them I never got anything. They told me they weren’t going to charge me for the missing items. I decided not to ask for another package, as the value was too high and it was scary to be on the hook if it happened again. Today, 5 months later, we went grocery shopping only to discover our account is withdrawn over $300. Called the bank and Rockets of Awesome, out of nowhere has taken all our money and then some. They’ve withdrawn a total of $798, for what, idk. I never ordered again or received a thing from them. So, I am livid. We are destitute. Beware.

How fun it must be for her to get this box!! What a lifesaver for you as well not having to “shop” outside your computer for children’s clothes. She is absolutely adorable.

She is soo stinkin cute! I love the way most of the clothes can easily be dressed up or wore in a more casual style. I’m also a sucker for ruffle hems so I really like most of their stuff a lot. Of course it helps that Lil Model shows them off very well! I love her!!!!

Those clothes don’t look much different than the ones you can pick up at Carter’s, OshKosh or even Target (the new Cat & Jack lines are so cute) for about a fraction of the price.

Cute kid, though.

Cutest princess ever!! Too much for kids clothes in my opinion.

Jessica

Thanks, Kara! I told her someone saw her photos and said she was a princess and she absolutely squealed with delight!!

Hmm, those shirts are all very similar. I’m also not a fan of long sleeves on little kids, they get dragged in everything (food, paint, sink…). The (not very intensive) search for a good clothing box for kids continues…

Cute pix though! The model looks happy. 🙂

Jessica

Thanks! She’s a very happy little girl!

Virginia

You are right that long sleeves get dragged into everything but either you don’t have children or live in a warm climate because when it turns cold everybody needs long sleeves.

Jessica

Virginia I agree. Where we live it’s long sleeve weather if we like it or not from October-April!
